However, if Haslam is the Puppet Master who had his little puppet, Mike Hamilton, fire Phil Fulmer... do you think for a second that he will allow Phil to become Athletic Director... that is... if he is still in control of athletic affairs?

My thinking is, It is good that John Currie is gone, but the fires in the athletic dumpster will not begin to be extinguished until the fuel for those fires is removed... and that fuel is none other than Jim Haslam.

So, name Phil Fulmer, who Haslam fired through Mike Hamilton in 2008. Allow Phil the go ahead to hire Leach as per the MOU Currie reportedly signed with Leach. Give Leach whatever reasonable amount of $$$ he needs to build a star-studded coaching staff. Bar Haslam from the UT Athletic Department... PERIOD. The fires will quickly die down and UT football will begin to rebuild. Fans will flock back to Neyland and we will have sellout crowds once again.

With the right AD and approach... he may be very much available until he is asked. I believe he would be a good hire. The Gator's forum does not like the idea of us getting him because they know he would give us a strong presence in the SEC once again.

Just when I think there may be hope, here comes the Gruden rumor again. This guy has no intentions of leaving his cushion job. He's been trolling Tn for over a decade. He wasn't/isn't this great coach prospect to begin with.At some point folks, you just got to let this Gruden thing go for petes sake. He's just not that into to you(TN)

Haslam still runs things. This is just now starting to get ugly. If Phil tries to get independent then they willhang him out to dry.
