As for the new “SEC on ABC” package of games, ESPN said in its press release Tuesday that its top three broadcast teams would alternative the conference’s weekly 3:30 (ET) kickoff.

The teams of Fowler/Herbstreit/Rowe, McDonough/McElroy/McGrath, and Tessitore/Palmer/George will rotate commentary duties for the new SEC on ABC franchise at 3:30 p.m., which debuts Saturday, Aug. 31 with a brand new graphics and animation package.

Let me count the ways I won't miss CBS. ESPN is paying SEC football $300 million per season—almost five times the $55 million per year fee that CBS paid the conference. Yep it's about the money, it's about NIL, 105 man rosters, etc.

It’s not just ESPN. All TV channels are an unorganized mess. I think it’s partly relying so much on automation, but mainly just production value dropping, because of the perception that the audience doesn’t care. Ever since Youtube became so popular with people and their independent video blogs, which were never high quality production (and you can’t blame those video bloggers. They started out with only webcams), I believe TV networks realized they can get away with sloppy production because people didn’t care that youtube was that way. We now have ads that interrupt in the middle of sentences on TV shows, just like youtube ads. There’s no smooth transitions, and audio quality has definitely decreased.

The only color guy who isn't a homer is Jordan Rodgers. He has usually been unbiased with the Vols and is normally pretty insightful. He tends to like CJH's offense.

Miss CBS, I am not in that we category.

CBS College Football is by far the worst high budget sports cable program. Announcers suck, commercials make games 4 hours long, they constantly miss game action trying to get to replay. Their camera angels are putrid, they put zero investment in stories except for the obvious. Nessler and Danielson guess on 50/50 stuff all the time. Their rules analyst is a sycophant for the officials.

I'm so glad the mouse is getting the SEC.

Stinch does color commentary. Taylor Z calls the game. I remember when Zarzour was getting started on Wnsp Sports Radio, Mobile. I like his work.

AMEN to that! PB&J, pimento cheese, whatever. She just has that wholesome girl next door look about her. I am very impressed at her knowledge of college sports and the ability to rattle off player info and stats during her broadcast.
