I find it hard to dog talk Butch too much, he's has this program in much better shape than its been in over a decade. I hope either he or the next coach starts taking advantage of all his hard work over the past 5 years.

He's definitely done a great job bringing in the Jimmy's and Joe's, No one can deny that, I jjust dunno about his X's and O's.

That HOF coach had :victory: 5 win campaigns in four seasons...you love guru you.

Ok, I'll "bite".... before Fulmer, UT hadn't won a National Championship in 42 years, 1956 to 1998.

In addition to his "5 win campaigns" you pointed out, he had 5 seasons with 10 wins and 3 seasons with 11 wins, and one (of course) 13 win season.

So bad mouth him all you want, he was/is dedicated to the State and to the School and I'll take up for him when people (such as you) bad mouth him by pointing out ONLY his seasons where we were unsuccessful.

if we went 10-3 do we really fire a 10-3 coach in the sec. idk I've yet been able to make up my mind. everyone acts like we need to put in a new qb, but he has 659 yards and there is no reason he wont keep that up, not really, so maybe that's 2600+ yards first year. Kelly has close to 350, so maybe 1400+.that could very well be 10-3.that's almost like a payton 3rd year season, and he never beat fl. So if butch did this for 3 years who would u really get to go 10-3 in the sec? I really don't know, and butch may get better in the next two years 11-2, 12-1. who knows I say all that to make one simple point in the world of IF's... if he stays here, and he stays healthy, and doesn't just suck, and doesn't go pro can you name the qb for the vols 4 years from now I can, and I've not been sure in 10 yrs and he will get more 4-5 star players in that time as well. So why should I give up on this maybe for the unknown please help.

The Vol nation has been broken for a decade, let's hate each other in silence, and direct our hate at the 10 teams left. Side note put up doors in the mens restroom, hope I never forget and eat taco's the night before a game...

Goal line package is pass on first down from the half yard line and make sure it is into coverage so they have a chance to intercept.

I'm sure we do...question back to the negavols. Why is it labeled "defenders" when you let a season play out instead of demanding a coaching change. When it's time to make a change, we're all right at the same time. :)

umm, if we do, why didnt we use it..question back to losing-lovers, how many bites from a crap sandwich do you need before you stop eating it?

Whatever kept you up past 5 am? Once upon a time negavols said they could love the program and hate the coach...never disagreed. Why do you guys NEED others on your pile of garbage...right before you set it on fire? I love the team and that would include winning. Quit trying to narrate for me...back to your campfire.

It's not bad-mouthing...it's recounting history. 2001 SEC Championship Game was as unacceptable a loss as has ever been...definitively moreso than this one...and that fell in the same season as the Hobnail Boot Game. Don't remember if that was regarded as a successful season, but the same reactionary Fahr the coach horde was in fine form. Backed him til the end...were you there? Social Media Justice Warrior? :aggressive:

Butchna reminds me of so many fans in 2012 that blindly supported Dooley because 'he's the coach of UT and not supporting him isn't supporting the team derp derp' until he was fired and suddenly they saw the light. Pfft.

This. The fact that it took him unitl after the Miss. St. game is quite telling. Even then I'm not sure I believe him, my guess is going into the Vandy game he was still defending Dooley.
