Simms limping, Bray may start

Bray will be much better than Simms. I just don't think it's his time now. And any sport is won on the practice field first. Let Bray start in each game with supporters like some of the people on here? Are you kidding me? People would really be calling for his head before the seasons end. Then when next season comes around, there will be more reason to complain about Bray from some of you. It's a no win situation unless.....oh the QB is undefeated. People cried about Clausen, Ainge, and even Peyton. It is just part of who some people are. It's never good enough.

My only fear with going with Bray now is that he might get severely injured. He still isn't physically ready to play in the SEC. The OL has to protect him and so does Chaney.

Our O-Line obviously still leaves something to be desired, but overall they've played better than I thought. I think a lot of the time Simms just holds the ball too long, longer than you could reasonably expect an OL to give. For that reason, I don't think Bray will take as many hits as Simms has been taking. Still, I know what you're saying, because there are obviously plays when the line just totally breaks down, and it only takes one hit.

That's what I was thinking watching him Sat. I really thought on that last play that he was going to get his leg broken. He doesn't look like he has the weight to survive in the SEC now. UT put some good hits on McElroy but they were clean hits, you haven't played ole ms yet, players took cheap shots and dirty players, they'll kill your qb, worst team so far this season with the cheap shots.

Can't wait to read the comments on this one. Bring it on Bray lovers and Simms haters. You know, the ones who were calling for Bray to be the starter over Simms. After all, he really proved to be so much better than Simms vs Alabama didn't he?

Yeah, actually he did impress me with his poise in that game. He had some completions wiped out by penalties, but he hung in there and zipped that ball. Note, I am not bashing Simms, and I hope he's well enough to play this Saturday, but I sure do feel better about Bray than I did before.

Listening to 104.5 The Zone, and they said Simms did practice yesterday, and unless something happens to him, he will be starting the game. Bray will come in later.

Whoever gets in there, they need to be getting more out of the offense. Some way some how they need to come up with more than 10 to 17 points a game. Only thing on offense i see that might be getting better is the O-line. The play calling is questionable at times, like Poole only getting 14 carries last week. They need to get some kind of game plan in place, it looks chaotic at times. I understand the need for balance, but if something is working, keep doing it until they force you to do something else.

Completely agree here. I really don't understand why they abandoned the run when Poole looked like he was trying to carry the team on his shoulders.

This statement is very true, Simms hasnt impressed me, neither did bray, so its whatever

...Nash Nance? If he adjusts to the skill and speed of SEC defenders without throwing them INTs, then he'll have a huge upside.

If Simms is hurt and Bray starts I look forward to seeing Nance play after Bray gets broken in half. Go Nash!!! :-o

Really? How do you know that he would get broken in half? Do you have a crystal ball? Tarot cards? Magic beans? What??????

Peyton was the same size as a freshman. Did he break in half?

Besides, it's already been decided that Simms is starting.

I heard Simms stares down receivers and has a slow release and that Bray will get broken in half. We should just stop playing QBs this season.

We should also put the backup fans in the stadium, as the starters just aren't getting the job done.

Dude, lighten up. I was joking. I think Bray will be a a very good if not great QB in the future, however I really do like Nance's size and feel there is more a possibility of him giving Bray a run in 2012 than people give him credit. But that's just an opinion.
