From what I have heard Dooley considered benching him in the second half hoping the change would add a spark to the offense.

Sounds like crap to me. Besides, anyone with two good eyes could see that Simms played fine, given the chances he had. Receivers dropped tons of balls. He was also running for his life on every single play.

Nope...but at some point yes..CDD himself said it in his post game interview he really did think about it. But he said he was not necessarily because of him (Simms) but to just change things to make something happen...I think he will if we have another game like that. Second quarter would be way to soon for those thoughts in my opinion. More like end of third or into the forth. CDD said he decided to do nothing and was glad he did. So he covered all the bases I guess. :hi:

CDD said in his PGP that he was thinking of benching Simms because the QBs job is to drive down the field and score points. He said he thought he played well, but he just needed "to do something, anything." However, he ended up doing nothing.

I would strongly recommend only listening to the Post Game Presser and not video if you haven't already.

It would not have mattered if DD put Bray in the game...the OL couldnt block for 1/10 of a second...hard to see downfield when the whole DL is coming at you unblocked.

Dooley definitely said he thought about pulling Simms. I didn't hear him say 2nd quarter but he did in fact say he thought about pulling him. That would have been a big mistake if you ask me. I don't think the guy played bad at all. He can't help the drops.
