So you think Manning wouldn't have done just as good or better than Tebow had he been on these Florida teams? I happen to love Tebow, I'm just saying.........
Are you serious? Are you such a homer that you can't see what is so blatantly obvious? Tebow is the greatest collegiate QB to ever play the game. Sometimes you just have to recognize.
Wait.. we're not talking about hypotheticals here. We're talking about what these two guys have actually done and achieved. It may seem like fantasy football when you look at Tebow's stats, but its real.
I happen to agree with you. But, just like Simek, even if you believe something, it's sometimes better to keep your damned mouth shut. Kiffin needs to learn this.

He's young. Give him a chance. His recruits are responding to him. Once Kiffin has the table set, he'll stop talking because the field will be speaking for him. Give him some leeway.
Well, saying Tebow is the best ever is hypothetical isn't it?
Technically, its an opinion, supported by evidence. I wouldn't worry about our coach praising Tebow. Meyer AND Tebow have had plenty of nice things to say about Eric Berry, including their support for his Heisman race. Do you think Florida fans scoffed at thier comments? No.
I'm ignorant, huh? That's rich.
Kettle, meet pot. Pot, kettle.
Your hamfisted, generalized statement about anthropology said it all. Why would you make such a statement if you possess sufficient knowledge about anthropology to see its clear application to football (and organized sport in general)?
Football is all about analyzing individual player ability and physical attributes, as well as group (i.e. team) behavior.
Anthropology's basic questions include, "What defines Homo sapiens?" "What are our physical traits?" "How do we behave?"
If you want people to think better of your knowledge base, you probably shouldn't make statements that belie it. Just saying.
All that aside, I still don't see where the Dutchman called Kiffin out. I understand that the TFP writer is trying to present this as controversy, but I just don't think it is contraversial in the least.
True...and I totally forgot about Margaret Mead's extensive studies of SEC football that were published shortly after her return from Samoa. :lolabove:
You made a "hamfisted" statement...period.
Who cares, look at the athletes we are getting now. I don't think anybody really thinks he did anything terrible except for the enemies of Tennessee.
Kiffin has not made any remarks since signing day. Why do some of you FAIR WEATHER FANS keep referring to these comments like they were made yesterday. you're just like the media, he made a job at his press conference, whoop dee dooo, and then made a mistake about Urban calling a recruit. Get a life and get over it, he hasn't said anything else since February. Move on, and support our coach and our team. It takes time to rebuild a program.
EVEN IF he had been factually correct in calling Meyer a cheater, you just don't do it. It makes the whole conference look like a bunch of school girls. And to be wrong about it on top of that.......
You make them at a booster luncheon all day long. I know context is a stretch for you, but think it through.

So, by your logic, he could have called him a child rapist and that would be ok because it was at a booster luncheon? It obviously was going to get out in the press, regardless of the setting.
