I have been playing tons of Cities XL which is making it hard to wait for this game.

Well I was able to play the Beta yesterday for a bit. It was pretty fun minus the crash about 40 min in.

I tried, but it crashed almost immediately after going through the "how-to" guided portion (waste of time). I really hope EA wises up and enables an offline single player mode.

I personally will have a problem with it, but I am also coming from playing lots of Cities XL where the cities are huge. Now I am not sure if the city in the beta was the normal size, but if it is, it will not take long to max it out. It also seems like it is really hard to use all available space when building. The zones just do not seem to fill the space as much as I would like.

That's been my worry, that in order to make the world fully integrated they took away from the scope of theoriginal city building aspect a bit.

I think I'll pass, or at least wait

Yep. I have always been a big SimCity fan. I believe the small city will be made up within the MP concept.

I've got a sneaking suspicion this is going to be in the bargain bin by summer. I'll wait.

I went on a pre-ordered it today...worst comes to worst I waste 65 bucks.

I can't download for some reason.. say's I have it preordered but it's not released yet.
