I've said it before and I'll say it again:
If you think that a very large majority of the fanbase isn't going to go into "fire the coach" mode after a pitiful loss like this past Saturday, you are absolutely 100% delusional.
It wasn't the fact that we played so poorly - it was the blatant apathy (at least on the offensive side) and the seeming lack of effort and intensity across the board.
The lack of preparation for arguably the most important game of the season (sad as that is to say) falls COMPLETELY on the coaching staff.
In order to keep optimism alive in Knoxville, all CDD had to do was beat a pitiful KY team using a WR as a QB.
It's the responsibility of the HFC to win games, not give excuses. If we beat a pathetic UK team last Saturday, instead of talking "hot seat", everybody would be talking about how the season was salvaged and speculating on bowl game opponents.
Now Dooley is fighting for his coaching life. Sorry if that's not what you want to hear, but the truth hurts sometimes.
