Silas Redd

Maybe Joe Schad and Cowherd will get a cut of his signing bonus when he's drafted. Never seen such "unbiased" reporting.

Honestly, I like listening to Cowherd most days, but this crossed the line. He sounded like he was on staff when talking about this kid. "Well when I was talking to Lane Kiffin the other day in Lane Kiffin's office, Lane Kiffin said to me...."

With or w/out Redd, USC does not have a chance at the NC and ESPN know it.
Follow the money.

With MKiffin, they had the 54th D in FBS.
The OLiine has only 60 combined starts = 66th in FBS.
And with 75 players they are generally not deep.

Oklahoma at 13-0 (look at their schedule, and QB Landry is a Sr) plays the SEC Champ for the NC...AND EVERYONE AT ESPN KNOWS THIS!!!

LIARS.

I think Stoops blows it 11/17 @ WVU...that place will be cold and rockin'.

He makes no secret he's a big USC-homer.

You've used this '60 combined starts' stat too much now.

4 of 5 USC starters return on the OL for a team that only gave up 8 sacks while passing the ball a lot. Oh, and we had a 1000 yard rusher... And now we've added another.

And I've responded that 1,000 isn't great (ut had that in 2010 and lost 7 games) particularly when you have one guy getting 70% of the carries and the defenses in the conf arent great. What was his ypc?

Ut returned 5 of 5 starters the last 2 years in a row. Unfortunately, in the 1st year we had 4 freshmen and one soph, then 4 sophs and 1 jr. Now we have the experience that fulmer had perennially bc as an off linemen, he was always loaded there. Bear Bryant almost never started a sophomore on the Oline -- in 25 yrs at Alabama.

With only 60 combined starts returning, it sounds like sc has 2 or 3 sophs (returning freshmen). That extra year of playing together is a big diff. In the Sec, maybe not so much in the PAC 12.

It was actually 8 coaches. They went all out.

We had poor depth at RB and this helps alleviate the problem.

It would be nice if you talked about anything other than SC in every post. You seem to know nothing about anyone but them. People ***** about outsiders , but most of them occasionally talk about other teams. We need this SC info like LA needs the big one to sink her in the ocean. Other SC fans do talk about things here that aren't related to their team. But with you it's the same old **** you could be talking about at your board. I have been as nice as I can be to you , but your posts come across as a homer here to only brag and defend his team. Whatever helps you sleep at night , but we honestly don't give a damn. You don't even get along with fans of your own team. You are defensive about everything , especially if someone questions your info not to be accurate. Which most has been as accurate as a drunk aiming for the toilet.

Well said.

Absentee, it's a free country, but you obviously have ZERO interest in UT and only seem to troll these threads looking to set guys straight on USC info. Most people on here have been hospitable, but if you think you can change their minds about how they chose to interpret facts, you're wasting your time.

Plus, he's right about the arrogance. Go re-read your history; it's like you just have to correct everyone every chance you get.

Pot meet kettle.

I really dont care what you think. You've done nothing but make snide comments in regard to SC and post weird little videos.

I post what I know -USC- and also correct the incorrect statements from people in regard to USC. Of course a USC fan is going to pop up in USC threads. If my posts are worth a ban, get it done.

And you base me not getting along with USC fans on that Hollywood Kobe guy? He makes so many false statements about SC that there's a good chance he's actually just trolling.

Nah man,

My first game was the '92 flood against UF. I have cousins at UT, love being in Knoxville and will always support the boys in Orange (barring they don't play USC).

Absentee prob hasn't even been to UT, and it seems like he signed up just to be a "USC info moderator" or whatever. I'm not saying he should be banned, but Vol2424 was justified in asking him about why he's here.

If you're wrong, I'll correct you. Just like York, and Johnson, and Farmer.

I'm not trying to win a popularity contest. I'm here to read and (factually) post on the topics I know.

Yes you do. Read your posts. You care a little too much. And snide comments? I've been nice to you. You have been a dick to most of the people here when they don't instantly take your word as fact. We can't help it you are insecure. The videos , well I'm glad you have seen those. But they are weird , right? Why because you have never seen USC lose a ****ing football game? I'm surprised you didn't come here and defend them as fakes. Your team loses games to teams they shouldn't every year. Nothing werid about it son. All I was doing was informing people that your **** stinks too. Remember where you are. Nobody cares about the countless little details about how many douchebag coaches you send to see a player. What sort of reaction do you think you are going to get? And say what you want about HK. He isn't nearly the asshat you are.

Actually, I don't. I have some time to kill so I'm here posting. Cant pay attention to the Olympics any more.

Btw, if you think you've been 'nice' that's hilarious. It's not like it bothers me, but you have a very skewed sense of self.

Edit: again, I've never taken a shot at UT or even gotten into it with someone who wasn't a jackass to me first. If that's worth a ban, fine.

Otherwise why don't you ignore me and stop derailing threads? Because I will respond to someone calling me out, just as anyone would.

I'm not trying to win a popularity contest. I'm here to read and (factually) post on the topics I know.

Let's quickly examine our points of disagreement:

1. York. I wasn't trying to imply you were wrong about his grades not being a factor in USC moving on; they were a factor. However, IIRC it was openly speculated on USC boards that his injury "did him no favors" since it was going to be our first year of only taking (15). That doesn't mean the moment the cart came on the field Lane decided to pull his offer; it means it's perfectly fine to speculate the coaching staff worried would he be OK since he would be needed to step in immediately (no one knew Moody was poised to step up back then). And I stand by what I said: if they wanted him bad enough, they would've made an exception...they did for Bowman who also had grade issues that kept him from being an EE.

2. Semantics. "Bust" can mean different things to different people; I don't have to accept your definition. Having said that, if you noticed I did step back and say, "Ok, fine. But many people consider he career disappointing, including him.

3. George's class standing doesn't mean he can't be passed in a depth chart. Every off-season every one competes for a starting spot. GF is one year down and IMO doesn't stand much of a chance to become a featured player on O this year (not exactly a controversial opinion when you notice Lee and Woods are clearly out in front and George has to battle Nelson and De'von for the 3). Couple that with Lane's statement's about getting the TE's involved, it's fair to speculate GF may not get a chance to shine until his Jr or Sr year. Even then he'll still be competing for touches with Lee, Nelson and De'von et al.

Personally , I have been friendly to you. If you don't want to admit that fine. And you wouldn't be here posting the crap you do if you didn't care. You must be pretty pathetic to chose to "kill time" on a different teams message board , when none of us give a **** about what you think is going on in fantasy land. You see , you are an insecure , defensive weak person. People would get along with you , but you come off as someone with something to prove all the time. We have Bama fans posting here who don't come across as snobbish as you. You honestly sound like someone whose glass ego has been shattered all his life.

Your quote was essentially saying "USC pulled his offer because he tore his ACL"... So, yeah, you did imply otherwise.

And he didn't tear his ACL. It's not OK to point this out?

Farmer was a true freshman. A true freshman can't get 'passed' - they're already at the bottom of the depth chart until proven otherwise. And the overall implication of your post was off too, because he's stuck behind two amazing WRs. There's nothing wrong (or surprising) about being behind them on the depth chart. Farmer will still get plenty of reps this fall.

Look, I'm done talking about this stuff. I will continue to post what I know as true (Ramsey, hatcher, the above, etc), and fo so without flaming.

If you don't call me out, I wont respond... But if you do, of course I'm going to. So let's just let this die (after you get the final word, I'm sure)

Someone's mad.

It's a message board. Grab a beer, calm down, do something. No need to get worked up. The attempted personal attacks are sad.

Right. Someone is mad. You since the day you started posting here. Like I said , you are the reason for your issues here. You bring it on yourself. And this last post of yours is just another weak attempt to defend yourself.

I'm not defending anything. I've been completely straightforward with my posting style and reasons for posting here. And I knew that I would take heat here from people such as yourself that don't like hearing the truth (Hatcher thread).

Calm down and take a deep breath.

The dude with the Kurt Russell avatar stated if we pulled a kid who suffered an injury, we'd be blackballed in the recruiting world. I pointed out a recruit got hurt last year and fell off the commit list. It's totally fair for me to speculate--along with others--his injury played a part in that decision. Never said it was the ONLY thing...

I can only laugh about Rojo. I choose to think of him as a bust...which is based on numerous convos I had with him, his teammates, and his old girlfriend. Some people may say, "Leinart's been a bust in the NFL." "No..Jamarcus Russell is a bust, Matt has stayed around for a couple of years." You see? It's all semantics. Bust can = massive disappointment or slight disappointment...it's subjective and up to the person speaking.

We'll see what George does this year, but I've got a feeling Nelson steps into the 3 over George--I'm free to have that opinion. And maybe you're right; maybe being stuck behind two studs is the reason he hasn't stepped up yet. Guess what? Doesn't change anything. GF has (3) years left to reach the potential people expect of a top 5 player in America. I say minimal reps this year, and if Woods comes back or Nelson steals the show, minimal reps for this Jr year. This is all fair game to discuss on a message board.

Heres facts..you have a good group of recruiters..coaching sux...rem minn game..barely won...utah..barely won ..az st...got killed...lucked out with oregon...but the stanford game...kiffin gave that one away with stupid late coaching...and that's with a decent qb...if usc had played an sec schedule like tn....would have lost 5 to 6 games...kiffin has yet to prove he can coach...heres the kicker...if...usc gets to nc game...you still have to beat sec...more than likely....
