So if USC doesn't make the national championship in our first year off a bowl ban, Kiffin will get fired?Ole Kiff may be preparing his own pink slip if usc doesnt make the title game. Very good team coming back, Barkley coming back for his sr year, sounding like Redd will join usc very soon. Kiff better win.
I'm not defending Kiffin, but I do want to point out that Dooley did the exact same thing in the Malik Jackson situation.
There's nothing wrong with it, unless you act like Indiana and send 6 coaches into the PSU parking lot to sneak up on players.
Wrong, Dooley did not do the same thing. Orgeron and Queefer Kiffin tried to get players that had already arrived on UT campus prepared to go to class to not go to class. No UT sanctions, just a couple of @$$ clowns trying to slip out in the middle of the night and take the talented recruits with them. Dooley reached out to Malik after U$C got caught cheating and players were allowed to transfer.
You realize almost none of those guys would've been coming to UT if they knew the staff was bout to bolt, right? They had a relationship with those recruits for over a year and offered them a ride to their next destination...never understood why UT felt like they "owned" those kids. Seems like the only honorable thing to do was to give them the option of going to any college of their choice.

Seems like you were given bad info.
1. You did make the accusation--which is false. The only thing reported was Orgeron told recruits that if they went to class, they would be considered UT students, and since they had recruited these guys for a year, they would have USC offers if they wanted. They wanted to at least give those guys a chance to reconsider before they would be subjected to the University having to grant a release.
2. Dooley did indeed fax USC the same notice Lane faxed PSU acknowledging he would be contacting Silas. Back in June '10, it was reported on local radio that Dooley had sent a fax saying he would recruit EVERY junior or senior.

They are definitely talented. But I thought their biggest question mark, with their limited number of scholarships, was their depth..?
If this conversation was Kiffin did the same thing in this situation with Silas Redd that Dooley did with Malik then fine that is correct. But my understanding from the previous page is it was suggested that what Kiffin did with UT recruits when he bolted was the same thing Dooley did with Malik and it is not.
Seems like you are a dumb@$$...thanks for making my point. My comment initially was it was a different set of circumstances, nothing more nothing less. None of this stupid sh!t that you are talking about. Kiffin and crew did one thing, Dooley did another. Thanks, Bye:salute:

I think the depth issues start kicking in next year. USC has Oregon and ND at home this year i think, stanford on the road(are they anygood this year), schedule seems to set up well. I think they make the title game and play LSU.
We have more players this year than last (now that all of the RS are off). Stanford only returns 4 starters on O; Oregon lost their QB, RB (in convo for greatest Duck all-time) and several OL and D starters. Having said that, their schedule is cake. ND will be a slug fest if everyone's healthy.
If USC doesn't stop Oregon they could go 13-0...
Yes, allowing Kiffin to absolutely kill our program would have been "honorable". Are you ****ing kidding me? The douchery started with PC leaving USC when he did, which put them in a bind. It continued with Kiffin leaving UT when he did, which thankfully only crippled our program. The ultimate douche move was Ogre calling our commits and telling them not to go to class and trying to get them to come to USC. Seriously, take the UT fan icon down because there is no way in hell you're a UT fan if you think Kiffin and Ogre did no wrong. UT didn't screw those kids, Kiffin and company did.
Only a matter of time before you guys realize what a douchebag Kiffin is. Better hope he doesn't kill your program. He can coach, but the man has no character. He'll break every rule he can and he's arrogant enough to believe he'll get away with it. NCAA has a mad on for him. One slip up and he's toast, and he might drag your program down with him.
We don't play a weak schedule. That's the point. I'm talking about facts. They lose a game they shouldn't every season. We did it once in 28 years. Everyone knows we were **** last year.
