So Redd is going from one probation team to another. If he is even thinking of doing that I don't want him. Major loser in my opinion.

"Redd, Penn State's leading rusher last season, is considering transferring to the Trojans because of the perceived opportunity to compete for a championship"


And what championship would that be. The champion of the biggest cheater in NCAA football history?

Can someone explain to me how some school can win a championship while on probation? I don't care if you win every game and hold every team to zero points, you cheated and you should not even be mentioned in any rankings until your probation is over.

FYI, USC has several preferred walk ons (I count five: Burnett, Markowitz, Andrews, who had scholarships last season, that are still on the team) that are sometimes given one year scholarships before the season starts, and are assumed by some people to be in the 75 count right now. Those walk on scholarships for the coming season have not been awarded yet, and have been notified and are aware there is no guarantee for this year. USC has always rewarded some walk ons each year

On your other point about the 15 limit, the 2012 class has three openings still that can be filled in January as EE slots for 2012. That is why the reported count is 18 not 15, as long as USC stays under the 75 limit. At this time USC assumes there will be six EEs, three counting for 2012 and three counting for 2013.

You are absolutely correct that many schools are contacting Redd, and it has not been reported specifically. Schad has been in contact with the Redd family from the get go, so his info is 1st hand. Other schools are obligated to inform PSU admin if they intend to contact any current PSU players, as has been played out: Illinois sent their entire coaching staff to Happy Valley. USC sent only one name: Redd, who is meeting with the USC coaching staff as we speak

Regardless of my allegiance, I hope he stays at PSU

According to the USC lover, Joe Shad:

USC presented Redd with a powerpoint presentation during their 3 hour meeting. Redd would play for USC for 2 years and turn pro unless he is a first rounder next year. He may visit USC Saturday and decide Monday.

I know everyone is upset that Joe Schad is all over Kiffin, but has anyone credible ever posted that Redd was interested in us? I can't believe a guy named volelite from twitter.

99% chance he wasn't. Eventually, whether he stays or goes, he'll get asked and say he never considered UT. This guy gets 50 offers and in less than 12 hours already narrows list down to UGA, USC, and UT?:question:

That was my thought, it's hard to track truth through 58 pages on here. Everything I read from professional journalists was he was either staying or going to USC.

On a side note, make one slip up on here, and everyone is on your ass. Relax guys. Geesh! I'm just an "old school" Vols fan that works everyday for a living. I don't have all the free time to sit in front of a computer all day long like some on here do. Also have a life outside of Volunteer sports. Finished venting now. :)

They arent influencing Redd. USC is a national title contender that is missing a link and thats at RB. It was always going to be USC or stay at PSU.

There are some real experts on here for sure. It's funny really. One thing to do, to get the douchebags to waste their time, is to give them a little bait to pounce on. It's hilarious throwing chum in vol waters, where we eat our own. The vol spirit is alive and well.
