Getting Johnson, Dobbs, Jenkins, Miller, North, and the TEs were big positives for this staff.

Losing out on key LBs, RBs, and D linemen were failures.

The class, overall, is so-so. Carr, North, Harris, both QBs, most DB signees, and both TEs have a chance to make an impact next year.

I'm fine with it ...for now. If all these guys qualify, stay out of trouble and actually go to class this will be a top 5 or 6 sec class by 2016. Big splashes don't always turn out as intended. Nukese, janzen, bryce...

As for cbj not being able to make a splash, tell that to north and dobbs.

Dooleys rep was THAT BAD. My dentist is vol alum and was telling me how hated he was by tenn hs coaches. Didn't believe it til recent vn threads. Cbj did what he could.

Now he justs needs to be able to coach.

meh... I much as i hate to say it... Dooley and Co signed a better class than this staff... and Dooley only had a couple weeks.

and i'm not including the EE's in the Dooley equation... i'm talking about the additions of the guys below

James Stone
Da'Rick Rogers
Justin Hunter
Rajion Neal
Mychal Rivera

Jones guys haven't played yet tho who knows we might have some stars

Voted "where's the whiskey" not because the coaching staff failed, but because I got my hopes too high. If would have landed Bell, Lawson, Bellamy, or Levenberry I would have voted "good".

^ He gets it. Past tradition, awesome facilities, rabid fan support, blah, blah, blah means nothing to 17 - 18 y/o kids. You have to prove you can beat higher ranked teams on the field period. Once we do that, we will be competing with the big boys in recruits living rooms. Why is this so hard for anyone with half a brain to comprehend?

If thats the case then how do you explain Ole Miss and Auburn being in the top 10 while Oregon is ranked #21, Wisconsin is #49 and Louisville is #57?

I don't see anyway possible to compare this class with DD's first class. Not only did Kiffin lay a solid relationship foundation for DD 3 years prior we were playing in the SEC championship as now it has been 7. At that time TN had just had a few down years where now it has been a cluster **** for a while. I'm not defending CBJ because I thought he should have closed with atleast 1 of the bigs if not 2 but it is what it is and winning cures all.

We could compete with some of these other teams, the problem is that when you sign the #20 class, but that equates to the 10th best in your conference, you're just spinning your wheels

Kiffin didn't lay a damn thing except an express lane to the local police station. He snagged a few criminals and dumbasses last second. Yay for him. As for CDD, he clearly improved the talent level. Unfortunately, most of it was on the offense and most of those guys are now gone. Thank God the OLine is still in tact. Hopefully we actually have actual talent on D that was just made to look bad by Big Sal. Hopefully.

Receivers and QBs are very good. Carr is a stud. I think the class is solid, but Tennessee did not fill its needs in the O and D lines or at linebacker. That is a concern.
This is not Jones fault. There was just not enough time. Overall I think Jones did as well as expected.
