Significant, or no big deal?

It says right in the article:

"The move doesn’t come as a huge surprise to Tennessee. The consensus from those covering Tennessee’s recruiting seemed to believe that Clemons wouldn’t be a part of the Vols’ 2019 class one way or another. Clemons ended up taking matters into his own hands rather than waiting around for a decision to be made for him, and he took his services to Memphis."

So no, I wouldn't call this a big deal.

Almost sounds like we wanted him to put off his signing while we looked for higher ranked recruits (or to further vet him for grades or something). It that regard, it's ok.

On the other hand, he was DL and so that kind of sucks but I think we can get someone of equal or better value to replace him (probably Khris Bogle: fingers crossed).

Have no information but, the fact is, over the years many guys end up at Memphis or other "like" schools when "things" other than football ability are concerns or facts. Don't you or any one wonder how "world beaters" end up a schools other than SEC level? You know if a guy is gonna be or is great, if possible, a SEC type school would have him.
As I remember, this was one reason Ga. Tech moved to the ACC, back then their entrance requirements were too tough to compete for the guys they need for sports. They aligned better with the ACC requirements.

Someone over on Basilio had said over a week ago that there were two on the commit list that we would not sign he was one of them.

Good for Norvel and this kid. All part of the plan. Almost full and Pruitt has to have space for those last few 4* and 5*s.
