Sign on to the Nick Stephens bandwagon.

"I am a lot better than I was a month ago," Stephens said. "A month ago, I would get to one and two then I would try to make something happen with my feet. There is a lot of speed in this league and you have to get through 1, 2, 3, 4 quick. It's fast. That is the biggest thing I have improved on this past month that's being quick with my progressions."

That's 110% better than JC checking #1 and slinging it out of Bounds. So many times this year I've watched JC check #1 and #2 and throw it away when #3 and #4 were open.:swoon3:

God I'm so glad we are hanging our hats on this...
I'm sure that Crompton tries to do the same thing. How many SEC foes has Nick Stephens played against? We'll see how many times he checks down against UGA before sailing it to the 2nd row...

Yep, Phil, keep changing QBs. In fact, you should go to your 3rd string guy in the 12 game of the year.

The sad thing is our 3rd sting would be a starter for KY

Gotta see him play first, but i'll sign on as chasing the bandwagon, just not jumped on yet.

KY takes Bama to the woodshed at 2:30 Central time today.
Has KY played anyone without a Western, or Eastern in front of their name this year? I know they beat the mighty hilltoppers though.

At least they are undefeated in the SEC?

If Stephens was having that much trouble checking down in practice, it scares me. SEC Practice is a lot different than an SEC game. Remember, even Clawson admits that Crompton looks great in practice. That quote means nothing until he shows whether he can back it up or not next week.

Stephens has been going up against the first team D all year though in practice. Crompton has looked great against our scrubs. I think Stephens will be fine, for this game at least, but I guess we will have to see.

I understand that, but it's still not the same thing as going through a real game. Crompton had to be pulled, I'm not denying that, but I'm sick of these people calling him stupid and incompetent in everything he does. He's actually a very good speaker and blogger. He's also very confident in himself. If he was being successful on the field, everyone would be loving his confidence. How could anyone actually be mad at someone for having confidence?

So Crompton didn't work out in a game. Maybe he'll never be the qb he was supposed to be, but I just think the fans need to lay off him as a person, just as they need to lay off Fulmer and his eating habits or any other personal traits.

Crompton wouldlock in on one reciever and never move his eyes

we've moved past this already. It's one thing to pull off the progressions in practice, which Crompton was doing. It's another to do it in an actual game.

Well, as far as we are told Crompton was pulling it off in practice. Who really knows. All we know is that he struggled in games to go through his progressions. Either way, this is an opportunity of a lifetime for NS.

Well i hate to put so much on Stephens but this is a "make-or-break" for us not just at QB but the offense and possibly the season. We're either are going to see the future or see more trouble ahead. But I get the feeling Stephens is ready to bust out of that cage he's been in and show his stuff.
