Jeff Hall is in east TN and helps with some high school ball. We might want him stop by once or twice in the spring

 How long will he wait to make a change IF there is a newly recruited kicker and punter ? these 2 are just waiting to cost UT a big game win

The bottom line is any reasonable kicker would be more effective than what we now have. It's a serious issue and I am confident that the coaching staff will address it. Whether it's getting Palardy coached up or looking at alternatives

It's pretty bad when before we were about to kickoff after we tied it up that I stood up and said to my friend, "He will kick this out of bounds, bet me right now." That is how bad he is, that I can freaking guess it. Darr isn't as bad a Palardy but neither should be playing. Palardy was the best kicker in the nation when he was recruited was he not? Horrible

Palardy is terrible. I cringe even when he's just kicking a PAT. He kicks the ball low every time. I'm glad the INT ended the game bc I'm not so sure Palardy could've made a fg to win it.

They still have at least 2 more years to get better. They may not and i know Palardy did something i have never seen before in my life, but he has 2 years to get better

They definitely need to improve, quickly. How do you go from the #1 kicker in the nation to kicking a FG into the linemen's back?

Jesus, you people are dumb and malicious. That's a bad combo.

We have a redshirt freshman punting and a sophomore kicking. They are young and inexperienced, we have to expect some of this. Given time, I think they can both be good kickers.

All Dooley needs to do is go sign another punter and kicker in the recruiting class.
That will send the message.

i saw darr hit a 50 yarder in warmup. palardy has kicked off into the end zone and has hit FGs of 40+. so, they both have the potential. the trick is, like golf, to improve the consistency and keep honing the mechanics. that takes a good coach.

this year, vandy put a better punter on the field and montana put both a better punter and a better kicker out there. deckerkd is exactly right this elephant is going to bury us in a mountain of shiz next year if we don't get it fixed.

I really don't want to--but there appears to be no hope at all for either one--We need to start over and make them earn their scholarship again in the Spring and Fall of next year....

Baylor High School in Chatt-town has a very good kicker who kicks off better right now than Palardy...Watched him earlier this year! :salute:

Very thankful that people like you have no influence at all with what goes on with the football team.

I guessing you just loved that blocked FG by Alabama 2 years ago and how about the missed extra point in the Music City Bowl - this crap is bound to happen with Palardy even Dooley doesnt trust him now - you didnt see a re kick on the blocked FG attempt did you ?

I dont want to give up on Palardy yet but he sure makes our special teams horrible...same goes for Darr...and to think they were ranked no. 1 in their positions. I agree that Palardy folds under pressure...he just doesn't have that confidence that every kick is he is going to make it...but confidence can be rebuilt. So I hope he can overcome it and reach his full potential before its too late...same with Darr

Signed..... They both need to just play soccer or where ever FB kickers go when they are no longer useful in sports.

Sarcasm? Did sign a kicker and we have much bigger needs than signing kickers and punter. Especially when Darr and Palardy have shown flashes of their abilities. People tend to forget that both Britton and Dustin struggled early in their careers. Dustin was absolutely terrified of the crowd his first couple seasons at UT and Britton didn't get his shizz together towards the end of his career.

We're just the kind of team that were weaknesses are highlighted instead of covered-up. Bullock has a cannon for a leg and Palardy put a couple kick-offs down toward the 5 or further, the talent is their. They'll be fine.
