Sidell Corley- Vols Leave Impression

For Mobile, Alabama (McGill-Toolen High School) defensive end Sidell Corley a trip to Knoxville, Tennessee to checkout the Vols was exactly what he expected thanks to assistant coaches John Chavis and Larry Slade. In fact, it is Tennessee's honesty in the recruiting process that has left the biggest impression on Corley.

I had not heard that news either, but if he does commit to us and keeps that committment ( keeps being the key word here ) then that will be a great pickup for us. Another big and fast DE that can rush the passer and play the run too is great for this class. Martin on one end and Corley on the other for the next few years sounds pretty darn good to me. It would be an especially big pickup if Gerald Williams fails to qualify again.

The guys on Volquest have heard the rumor as well but say that it isn't uncommon for players to tell current players they will pick that team and then pick another. Hopefully it goes through with Corley though. Our DE class would be borderline crazy:

4* Gerald Williams(major grade issues, ugh)
4* Ben Martin(may move to 5*)
4* Sidell Corley
4* Chris Walker(OLB or DE)
3* Rufus Williams(underrated, may move to 4*)

I am friends with a few players and have contact with some.

I'm not sure how much stock I would put into this, however, as it isn't uncommon to enjoy a visit, think you want to go to school there, and then change your mind when you get back home.

We'll see how it turns out, but this seems to be good news! :rock:
