I was at the game and noticed the broadcast only showed the tail end. Ever seen “The Blind Side”? Wanya locked onto his block around the right hash mark and drove him into the UT bench. I think the penalty was “Excessive blocking” ?

From what I saw it was a message to Georgia. Wayna and another lineman licked onto the Georgia defender and drive him 60 yards. Penalty was for pancaking him out of bounds. It fired me, the TN sidelines and the crowd up. I'll take that penalty all game long.

The problem was they didn't stop after they were out of bounds and after the whistle. I expected the flag.

I agree. I watched a lot of the line play that night. Score sucked, but I saw some O lineman for us flat out brawling with UGA. Loved it. Not backing down.

from our view in the seats nearby it was a BS call. The GA player either had our face mask or shoulder pads and pulled Wayna on top of him. We got 15 yards and it killed some momentum. Pruitt was right there and was livid. He was in the refs ear called the head umpire over too) until the next TV timeout. Looks like a gift to UGA.

uga. Team name should be the Georgia Kneehunters. It’s what they do.
