I don't believe you understand. You make one set of rules for one and a different set for the team, you are begging trouble. Just sit back and watch what happens if the Dallas Cowboys coach follows through and allow that Dez Bryant jackass to have this type of leeway.

Moreover, for DR it wasn't a one time thing, his behavior has dragged on and on. Abusing coaches, the pot, cheating, and his overall attitude.

If it was more than just one offense, then I would probably change my position here - I was under the impression it was just a little pot smoking.

Whatever. We just booted our AJ Green / Julio Jones off the team. I'm pissed.

I'm pissed too but DR has had a history since arriving at the UT. The first was the Bar Knox fight, the other stuff followed. CDD was very professional in that he never aired it out publicly but it's hard to keep secrets in a college environment. Word leaks out plus DR has a condition called tweetitis. I hate he is not playing for us. I was so looking forward to the 3=headed monster WR corps. A huge letdown just a week prior to kick off, horrible timing. But rules are rules and even his some of his staunchest supporters like me just finally had enough of the antics.

Someone has probably already asked this, but what's the scoop on drug-testing? Is it an NCAA requirement or up to an individual school? If it's the NCAA, how can a player that fails a drug-test just pick up and transfer to another school to play?

This punishment was brought down from higher up, no way of keeping it from happening. DaRick knew the rules, failed to follow (they get a few tries), and suffered the consequences.

Well that clarifies that. I was a little fuzzy on whether you could or couldn't. I haven't worked for the man in over 10 years. I have a license that says i don't have too.

I can tell you one thing. This is my senior year at tech and I've never been to a football game but I will be there tomorrow night. There is definitely going to be a record attendance in Cookeville tomorrow.

It's all in if they test for alcohol though, I should say. Just like the company I work for, if you are caught smoking a cig in your own car but in the company parking lot, they can fire you. But, you sign a paper that says you won't, so you know that upfront. Even though neither are illegal.

strange to me: one school policy kicks out kid after 3 failed tests, immediately another school can grab him and start a brand new drug clock....after 6 failed tests can they doa 3 peat?????
