SIAP Interesting read on former coach

Doesn't mean that at all. All I want is for our basketball program to be successful. Would feel a lot better about the situation if the blank NCAA would quit leaving folks powerless to pursue a career that they dearly love. Man, college basketball was his whole life. He never slept.

If that were true, you'd would shut up about Tyndall and stop taking every opportunity to degrade Barnes. Stop acting like you have fully embraced him.

Is this supposed to be a serious post?
Why would anyone doubt which coach recuited the best?
Tyndall recruited Kevin Punter, Jabari McGhee, Detrick Mostella, Devon Baulkman, Shembari Phillips, Admiral Schofield, Willie Carmichael (now at WKU), Tariq Owens (now at St. Johns), , and the washout five star, Dominic Woodson.
Barnes has recruited Lamonte Turner, Ray Kasongo, and Kyle Alexander.

That proves nothing other than Tyndall had more scholarships to give than Barnes starting out.

It proves this statement is correct, which is the disagreement. "I think Tyndall's recruiting last year was better than Barnes this year."

Woodson was a 5*? According to which service?

Quantity v Quality
CRB's quality is tbd

McGhee hasn't logged many minutes, but also is tbd.

Mostella might be a good one if he commits himself. CDT didn't get much of anything out of him last year.

Barnes was also able to retain Admiral and Shembari's commitment. Something the previous regime was unable to do with the current commits, at the time.

Because unlike you, they understand college basketball.

Most folks could support my assessment with this data except those you refer to:
RTL Scoring Average Punter 43.65, Balkman 34.5, Phillips 30.8, Mostella 27.2, Alexander 22.6, Schofield 21.17, Kasonga 15.33, McGhee 13.5

What exactly have the guys Tyndall recruited proved? I love Jabari and think he will be a good player but he was injured almost the entire season. Punter and Baulkman showed they are average SEC players. Not great players. Detrick has proven nothing thus far. Owens had potential and Willie wasn't good. Woodson was a clown and a jerk in practice to his teammates and couldn't last more than a month.

The others haven't even set foot on campus.

I'm not saying Tyndall is a bad recruiter, I'm just saying it's too early to definitively say one way or the other that he's better. Barnes track record of putting players in the NBA trumps any juco guys/transfers that Tyndall brought in. If you're asking me which guy I trust as a recruiter, it's Barnes.

My statement was that Tyndall's recruiting class last year was better than Barnes' class this year not who was the best recruiter.

Neither brought in very good first classes, especially when you factor in Woodson basically wasn't a part of that class. I think most feel that Barnes first full class will be a very good one, those same people will agree that if Barnes 2016 class resembles Tyndall's class then we have a problem.

Uh no. They had already signed.

That doesn't matter. Signed players leave after coaching changes all the time. Very common. Phillips and Schofield could have asked out of LOI, and would have certainly been granted a release.

Most folks wouldn't use the freakin' RTL to attempt to prove your point.

LOL....this guy is using the RTL...

Quite the contrary, that further exacerbates your struggle with gaining any kind of credibility.

And it's really sad that you don't even understand why, which, in turn, even further illustrates your ignorance.

SD, this is a game you will never ever ever ever ever win until you come to terms with reality. If you don't change your ways, no one will ever take you seriously. I speak for all of VN when I say your perception of NCAA basketball is distorted beyond any sense of reality, and your comments and input are neither valued nor appreciated in any way.
