Being 100 percent healthy has added 5-7 yds on his KO, and that he is consistently putting it in the end zone now.

Kickers are like people in the HR dept: the company says you have to have them but no one likes relying on them for production.

I wouldn't even call them athletes - I mean, ever seen em try to tackle in the open field? Like a drunk on roller skates

Was he consistently getting them to the 5-7 yard line last year? Seems like he'd need 10-15 more on his kickoffs to consistently get them in the end zone.

I hope he can live up to his potential. I saw his high school video against Lakeland in the Florida 5a football championship game and he put like 6 kickoffs out of the back of the end zone. Kid has a leg if he can just pan out. If you havent seen the video go to You Tube and put in Michael Palardy Highlights - Conrad Kicking, Punting and Snapping. Go Vols

Fwiw a kick that is caught at the 4 lands in the endzone because of the flight of the ball. Expect kicks to be returned from inside the 5 unless there's a strong wind. He has good kicks, they're just not quite NFL caliber, yet.

Ok, you guys are right - kickers are PHENOMENAL athletes, just like nascar drives, jockeys, and card players

the guy was about to attend Arizona St on a track scholarship before the football offers came in. You're selling him short

whats more important at the college level is hang time better to have a ball with 3.9-4.0 sec hang time to the five than a ball 2 or 3 yards deep at 3.6-3.8 also a big thing is how quick his fgs/xps get up in the air....watch the good fg kickers and their xps will be in the top third of the goal post height wise when they go through the uprights.....if you look at the last few years they were barely halfway up the goal posts height wise and thus cody got his paw on the ball....

watched some videos of palardy in high school 70 yarders but 3.6 3.7 hang time....bet his 65 yarders now are pushing 4.0 hangtime and vols coaches will be happy with that...
