SIAP.....BJ Coleman to UTC??

UTC just got dumped in the NCAA doghouse, I can't imagine a worse place for him to go right now.

That's what I was thinking too, but if he's conceding not going to the NFL then playing close to home and getting his degree is appealing. He could do that here, but sounds like there is a lot of sour grapes honestly.

BJ just seems too smart to do something like this. I know where there is smoke -- and a lot of it -- there is usually fire. I just can't get my head around this happening. It doesn't make any sense. He's got a chance to lead a major BCS school next year with very little competition, yet he is going to transfer because he's getting beat out by a senior QB? I know the kid is confident and thinks he can play, but damn.

Maybe there is more going on with this situation than we know. Maybe the coaches are giving Crompton an unfair advantage or something.

Well, I will say I'm sad to hear it sounds like he no longer feels like UT is the best place for him. I really hate that if that's the case.

Great. He'll throw for 300 yards and a few touchdowns against the Citadel and 5150 and Ksush will on here barking about how stupid Kiffin is for letting the next Montana get away.

You know what REALLY amazes me though Sab?? He hasn't accomplished anything on the field, yet he thinks that he is being wronged by some strange conspiracy against him (if this is all true of course). Here's a thought, if he consistently outplays Crompton and doesn't whine or complain about things then he would be the starter. We also haven't seen a truly healthy Nick Stephens either and Stephens showed the most promise out of any QB last year, IMO.

To be fair, they don't really need an excuse to bitch. If there isn't one, they simply create one.

assuming he does leave, what QB's do we have on the practice squad this year ? this kinda worries me, nick has already ben injured. and JC played on a bad foot last year.

He's a confident cat. You saw in the O&W postgame where he emphatically stated that he thought he could be the #1 QB here. That stuck in my mind. I have been wondering about a transfer ever since.

Well he's not getting many reps, that's for sure. I'd want to discuss it too if I were him.

The thing is, how consistent is he behind closed doors and how big is his ego?? This may be about butting heads and not talent or reps. Although, there is a reason that Coleman was 3rd string last year and if Stephens had been healthy this spring Coleman probably wouldn't be discussed that much.

The thing is, he is one bad play from JC from going into the game in all likelihood. I just think that this would be a stupid move on BJ's part.

We can argue about the QB situation all day. The sad fact is that everybody has had an opportunity to seperate themselves from the competition, and to this point it simply hasn't happened.

There doesn't appear to be any medical way to stick Coleman's brains in Crompton's head. Either way the lack of a distinquished competitor is alarming.

What about Stephens?? He did well last year at times and looked like he could make all the throws. He's not chopped liver.

I disagree. I think BJ would have beat out a healthy Nick Stephens.
