At the beginning when I heard, "Neyland's rockin', so don't come knockin'"......I was worried about what was coming next. It only got worse.

it isn't just si everybody knows our offense stinks.  listen to lou holtz and jim donnan on espn they will tell you we stink.  anybody that watches football can tell you what our problem is.  it isn't to hard to figure out we need changes on our offensive coaching staff.

Holtz and Donnan both have an intense dislike for the Vols and that is understandable. Look at their collective records against the Big Orange. They couldn't beat us on the field of honor so they beat-up on us on the field of dishonor (the National Media). :moon2:

Tennesse could go 13-0 six years in a row and beat every opponent by 30 points and the media would still have the same negative attitude. :thefinger:

In fairness, there is a lot of room for criticism of our offense. Our coaches must figure out how to produce points against the rest of our opponents. If we continue with such offensive impotence, Bama and Notre Dame will have a field day.

Unfortunately, we may never know.

I am a true Vols fan, don't get me wrong. But I can also see the position of the national media. We have a long history of underachievement. We have a history of losing to those we should beat, barely beating those we should throttle, never establishing ourselves as a TRUE powerhouse... Why should they view us as this national contender when we are unable to prove it for ourselves?

If UT wants national respect, we must earn it. You do that by making opponents fear you. You do that by being prepared, disciplined, well coached... You don't do that by years of losing in your stadium, years of losses and barely-wons, years of minor bowl losses. And years of predictability.

After all the posts calling for support of the UT coaches, I succumb. There MUST be a change, as major or minor as it takes, but a change indeed. I will cheer for anyone in orange while they are in orange, but we may need some new brains under the orange caps and headsets.

Go Vols.

Well if I was Hamilton it would be damn simple Fulmer either replace him or we replace you both.. Give Trooper the damn reins.. Has to better than this crap. If I see Fulmer clapping when the draw fails on 3-15 I am done watching this season... Ok thats a lie... But I wont enjoy it ... ok thats a lie too. Damn it I will change tha channel... ok well during halftime I will.
