I want Tejas not WVU that's my explanation..

As someone who has seen all of their games (live in WV), we do not want WVU.

They struggle against strong running teams (I-Formation), they are able to shutdown most rushing teams out of the spread. Their pass defense is solid and their safety Joseph, will put someone in a hospital. You tube his hits.

Their O-Line is not great but they are more than capable of establishing their running game and their backs are very good. Shell and Smallwood are solid backs.

QB is a question mark but the QB Howard they have played the last two games has been solid and has added another dimension to their offense (QB run).

Their two biggest weaknesses has been special teams and not turning the ball over. If they don't turn the ball over and don't give up the long returns, it would be very ugly.

Look at their schedule. They had TCU beat until a game winning FG. That was with turning the ball over 6 times. Not to mention the strong showings against Bama and Oklahoma, not to mention the win over Baylor.

I'm not scared, I'm just smart.

I didn't realize this game was on the 29th. I thought it was NYE, in which case I was going to the game. Dec 29th will be one of the single busiest days of the year for me, so now I'm going to be watching it from my desk while at work.
Nuts!

For this reason, I am pulling for the Belk bowl. I don't think I can go to either, but at least the Belk bowl is at night instead of the middle of the day.

I'd prefer the Belk Bowl if I had my choice. It's seems like we would play a better opponent in this scenario and I like the idea of playing in North Carolina.

Liberty would be my third choice behind Belk and Music City.

The Belk Bowl vs. ND would be pretty cool IMO

Tennessee may play an American conference team in the Liberty bowl, possibly Memphis.
Based on the new playoff rankings three big twelve teams will play in access bowls. That means there won't be a big 12 representative available for the Liberty bowl. The Liberty's backup is the American conference. It all depends on if Kansas State plays close enough to Baylor to stay ahead of Ole Miss in the rankings. Kansas State is currently ranked 9th and Ole Miss is 12th.

You realize tejas curb stomped the wvu team that every one on here is so scared of?

This. WVU is not good.

6-6, 4-8, and 7-5 since they joined big boy football. And 7-5 is about as good as it is going to get for them.

If this scenario worked out then would it be possible for a SEC East team to play a SEC West team? Teams that otherwise rarely play each other. UT vs. aTm, or Arkansas?

Was just suggesting Maggitt and Barnett would toss him like a rag doll, and he's not mobile. He's brittle.

Who would be their obscure under rated, totally unknown, B-string, inferior QB that would come in for the second half who we make an instant Heisman Trophy finalist after he beats us.

Ha, that would be skylar howard, and the most likely scenario!! He's a JC transfer that was going to redshirt but they pulled it. He's pretty mobile, and has been pretty accurate with good zip when e has played! Trickett really got his bell rung against tcu and hasn't been the same since.
It has been stated that Trickett would start for their bowl game tho.
