SI disrespects EB

EB isnt that good, he picked off a bunch of average joe QB's last year. He is in a conference that doesnt have good QB's. All you people will realize after the UF game that UF has a lot of EB's on the team

I was about to post that everyone upset about this needs to calm down and realize that it's an honor that he's received the Heisman hype that he has gotten, and that it just isn't realistic to assume.

Then the dumbest post of the day just got posted.

Just saw an article from SI online concerning "under the radar" heisman candidates. Guess who wasn't on there. 10 guys, including Mays. But maybe that means he is an "above-the-radar" heisman candidate?

That's because he's not "under the radar" he is already "in the radar"

Well, at least we now know that this is just another piece of Gator trash. Same s***, different day.

Of course, this idiot is too stupid to realize that he just insulted his own QB, since Berry has the only pick-six of Tim Tebow's career. I guess Tebow and Matthew Stafford are just "average joe QB's."

i'll bet anyone here that berry doesn't get a trip to NYC. he's a safety who doesn't return punts or kicks playing for at best an 8 or 9 win team. you'll be lucky if he even gets a single vote. kiffin is smart to do the heisman thing for recruiting, but you can't possibly think the guy has a chance.

For him to have a chance, Tennessee has to win at least 10 games including either Florida or Alabama and Eric Berry has to be a huge reason... and Tebow/McCoy/Bradford have to split the traditionalist vote.

And as far as being lucky in getting a single vote, I hope you are exaggerating. There are 870 voters, and they each pick their top three. In some years you end up with 50+ players receiving points.

If you actually believe what you type, then you are truly the stupidest poster I've ever seen on VN.

Even the biggest Gator fans know that EB is a rare player.

Forget to take your meds? Even the anointed one Tebow has acknowledged Eric Berry.

Average Joe QB's, as in Tim Tebow?

And he picked off the number one pick in the draft! Matthew Stafford, he was definitely average. These guys were all bums. I mean, they all only play quarterback in the SEC. Thank you "downthefield?" for all your infinite football wisdom and insight, you moron!

If you read the caption under Mays' pic, it says that one of the reasons he is "under the radar" is because he is competing against Berry.

All this crap about Berry having to be on a winning team. I'm sure thats some what accurate, however if you guys remember when Johnny Majors was snubbed by the heisman, it was to a Notre Dame QB who lead his team to a 2-9 season,

This isn't 1956. Nobody on a losing team today would even sniff the Heisman.

The point is, they will give it to who they want to give it to. They snubbed Majors. They snubbed Peyton. They'll snub Berry, no matter how deserving he is.

Any ways, football is a TEAM sport. Sure individual awards are great, but it's a team. 1 goal. Win. IF awards come, its icing on the cake. I'll never lose sleep over the heisman, and if he does win, I'll celebrate, but I believe the media makes it a bigger deal than it should be.
