I kind of liked the energy that LK brought to the program last year, but having this guy run the program feels like home.

I respectfuly disagree he is a total upgrade imho
Based on what. I have no doubt that Kiffin will put incredibly talented, well coached teams on the field at USC. Dooley won't get us probation, but I'm not sure he'll get us any titles, either.

And how exactly would you know this?? Psychic abilities? Tea Leaves? What, exactly?

Kiffin walked in here with a worse winning percentage, won seven games his first year and he's suddenly the reincarnation of the General? Give the guy a chance...he could do great things with the resources he now has. Do you honestly mean to say that Kiffin deserved more of a chance than this guy? Hypocritical much?

Mascot...I respect your opinion and I hope you are right - but my opinion is set. I would love to be wrong but rarely am in these regards. I actually got a sick feeling in my stomach when we hired Kiffin. I had a similiar reaction when I heard the latest bad news.

I wish Mr. Dooley the best...but it won't be enough.

And Kiffin would have?

He and his "all-star" staff got exposed in the bowl game.

If we had kept Kiffin we probably would have been looking at several 7-5, 8-4 years with a few 9-3's sprinkled in, along with a little probation.

Good article.
All of us are hoping for the best although some still expect the worst. He has my full support as Kiffin did. Only time will tell if it was the right choice.

only time will tell the story of CDD, but seems like a stand up guy, if anything he knows what to say and when to say it

I disagree. The facts that he honors your traditions, brings respect back to the UT program and is a lot less likely to land your program in probation, is, most certainly, a coaching upgrade. All Lil Lane had on DD was Monte, but even Monte wasn't worth the baggage that assclown brought to RockyTop.

Interesting read. The more I learn about Dooley, the more I am starting to like him. I have the utmost respect for him from walking away from the pampered BIGLAW life to follow his heart to something that paid a lot less and was a lot more risky.

Not really. To be perfectly fair, the Vols were seriously depleted at several positions due to Fulmer and to injuries.

Again - Personality, Integrity, and Character absolutely!

Coaching - NO! We will be respected only as a clean program. Losing is not respected.

but how do we know that he won't do better at ut, where he will be able to recruit much better talent than he had been able to at la tech?
