They didn't fix anything. The numbers speak for themselves. Eric just didn't win espn's popularity contest. They'll give it to him next year, at which time he should purposely drop it and let it shatter into a thousand peices.

Keep em coming! I read where EB is on track to be the first vol since Antone Davis in 1990 to make all recognized AA 1st team squads in one season. Odd that it's been so long considering some greats we had in the years between

and he made the AP 1st team so now he's just one away (The Sporting News) which will be announced Wednesday

And is quite remarkable considering how much people factor overall team record/success into these types of awards.

The fact that we can call this kid ours makes up for soooo much this year. Can you imagine if we didn't have Eric Berry as a Vol??

Heisman winner wasn't a 1st teamer either.

That bum from Ohio State didn't make 2nd team or honorable mention either! EB was robbed! ESPN sucks!

Does anyone have a logical reason as to why ESPN hates Tennessee so much? Did someone pee in ESPN's corn flakes?

I'm a Berry fan, but having a stud on our team in no way makes up for the disaster that this season was. Change helps some, but not much.

Of course it doesn't make up for all of it. But when all is said and done, for me football is about more than just the numbers your team throws up at the end of any one year. It's watching the athletes play on a Saturday. Yeah I'm gonna remember 2008 as a sorry season. But I'm also gonna remember what Eric Berry did on that field, not because of his team, but in spite of it.

Just my opinion.

Malcolm Jenkins did make 2nd team...

No big deal. The fact that Jenkins didn't take any of the 4 DB positions on the first team is evidence enough of who truly was the best DB in 2008...
the fact that Bradford wasn't on the list should make you at least a little dubious of its quality.

I disagree. There are two spots for CB's on the 1st team and he secured neither of them. Don't bring QB's into this. That's apples and oranges.

That makes sense. Just because the rest of the list might absolutely suck and have been written by a 3 year old in crayon, don't let that obscure the fact that it's dead on the money about DBs. That's genius.

Right because some guys at SI didn't pick him it obviously shows he's not the top 1-2 CBs in the country.

Some of yall need to let this go along with the Charles Woodson hate.

they're on the same freaking list, judged by the same set of idiots. Either you have no idea what apples to oranges means in the comparative sense or you're just another ridiculous homer for our site.
