Does anybody have stats as to how many players GT has knocked out of games per season. I see many post about GT playing dirty or their style leads to multiple injuries but have not seen any numbers. Also this site is the 1st time I seen anyone talking about GT knocking guys out of games at an unwarranted rate. It may be so but just haven't seen the numbers.

We need a healthy and productive Shy Tuttle this year in the worst way.

We're all rooting for you Shy!

Did all the Ga Tech fans disappear around here? A couple months ago there were a few that would vehemently defend cut blocking and say everyone does it and they get flak because they do it a little more.

It's the knock you always hear about the Flexbone; that it relies on cut blocks coming at big guys from unexpected places. It's not really dirty. It's just a little bit against the "bro code" kind of like baseball players not sliding hard with their spikes up or basketball players undercutting a guy going to the rim. They're often right on the edge of a chop block or a clip.

There is no place in modern college football for GT's offense/blocking scheme. A good way to end this would be for major programs to start publicly declining games with teams that regularly cut block. At that point, the NCAA would be forced to at least address it.

That might just work.

Glad to see him getting back at it.

That is great news but there's no way I'd play him against GT. Their cut blocking and his legs has disaster written all over it.

Agreed. This young man has been through way too much. He deserves some good things to happen for him. Sincerely hope he makes it through these next few years injury free.

I hope they redshirt him , and he gets enough time to fully heal. A year in the new S&C program would help as well. I'm pulling for him, he's a beast when healthy. GBO

I probably would too, and there's no way that I'd play him against Georgia Tech. Did Butch schedule that game? I don't like it one little bit.

Pretty sure Butch has little to nothing to do with the schedule. But, let's just blame him for it. Sounds typical

I'm so hoping he has a healthy year. I really like him, and he has great potential if he stays healthy.

If you want to see some cheap shot, dirty football, look at the GT vs Kentucky bowl game on YouTube. At one point, I thought the UK coach was going to cross the field and go after the GT coach. Some of it is disgusting. I have to admit, I was hoping the UK players would give them payback.

The game video is helpful is understanding the GT option scheme. When executed well, it is a challenging offense. Watching it will help get you prepared for the game.

Just rewatched last year's Va Tech game, the Battle at Bristol. Man, what an awesome game Shy had.

We really need him healthy all year this year.

Best to you, Shy, heal well!

Well, who does the scheduling? Butch has little to nothing to do with it? This is his fifth year. Who do you think has more to do with scheduling than the head coach? You think he has no input in scheduling?
