Shula fired?

my thoughts on this amorphous thread:

1. Bush good. Reaffirms my deeply ingrained belief that undeserving wealthy people still get whatever they want because they are wealthy.

2. Shula gone. The intensity level is too high and no one is offering official support from UA.

3. Hussein misunderstood. Peace-loving, benevolent leader. Maybe the ghost of Johnny Cochran can get the conviction overturned and he can run for Gov. of California in 4 years?

4. Fulmer sucks. 5th place in the SEC does not a turnaround make.

Oh, I see. Imminent invasion is the threshold with which you and your ilk are comfortable.

Your point of view couldn't have been made any clearer. Hopefully your brand of leader is in charge the next time we sit on our rears awaiting ideologically driven fascists' not so friendly breach of our security. Oh, if only Gore, Pelosi and the bunch had been available to help in our decision making process.
Brilliant retort. Your "ilk" is unable to distinguish between Islamofacists, who do pose a threat, and secular nut jobs, like Hussein, who pose absolutely no threat. If you wish to support a President who chooses to expend American lives to settle petty grudges and vindicate his impotent father, you're welcome to do so. I'll choose to look at foreign policy rationally. It also speaks volumes about your "ilk" that you assume anyone who doesn't worship Uncurious George is somehow aligned with the American left. It shows how far out of the mainstream you are. I guess the recent election taught you nothing.

me and my best friend growing up, who was also a bammer, and that sucked cause the bulk of that time was during y'all's winning streak in the 80's in to the 90's, used to go back and forth about UT/Bama...we drove down to B'ham together, me in orange, he in crimson, in 93. our first UT/Bama game live and in person we watched together....only to see a frickin' tie. I was so looking forward to the 4 hr ride back home after we won 18-10.

alas...it was not meant to be.

and of course by the time we started beating you guys regularly, he was attending Ole Miss and "conveniently" changed alleigences to the Rebels.

If I could only be so eloquent AND well thought out. I don't choose to support any president doing anything. I prefer aggression in general to the Eurocentric approach to the world. If Iraq / Afghanistan leave us with a larger toehold in the Middle East, the effort was very much worthwhile.

Lastly, I do not presume that you are in any way aligned with the American left, just a pompous, windbag of a......kitty kat (in the Wedding Crashers sense)

Don't wish for things you can never achieve. It will only leave you more bitter than you already are.

Another very European response. You know, you are nothing because you're not me, so stop trying.

Maybe you should hang your Hat (I'm in no way implying you should hang yourself) with the folks at the UN. I hear the Euros are huge fans and they'll fully support you in your vote for the fascists.

Papa, there is no use. We all know this "war" is all about oil and taking care of "his daddy's unfinished buisiness". Has nothing to do with Weapons of mass destruction, genocide and terrorism.

Maybe we can get George Bush for our head coach. I wonder if he would invade Tennessee and depose Fulmer and put him on trial? Would there be an insurgency? What about a timetable for leaving? Hmmm.

Not a big fan of the UN. Not too keen on Facists, either. I am a fan of competent leadership in the US, something that is woefully lacking at the current time.

As I slide down the bannister of life, I'll remember GW Bush as the splinter in my a$$.

The sliding down metaphor I understand in relation to your life, but why would Bush have any lasting meaning. You must run in lofty circles for him to mean that much to you.

On a side note, I'm sure that GW would welcome your opinion on matters. I mean, heck, you're sitting around on a Tuesday posting on a pathetic VolNation website.

And, fortunately, now we have it. Whew, what a relief.

The capable leader does not exist in the government any longer. The political process has winnowed the candidates down to the lowest common denominator among rich folks (on both sides of the aisle). So we get choices like John Kerry vs. GW Bush. There ain't a winner.

'nuff said

I will agree that the '04 presidential election was the equivalent of having the choice to drown versus bleed to death.
