High School Baseball Gatorade player of the year for the state of Tennessee.GPA around 3.5. Even though he was injured this year and played little, he was still impressive enough , having a .78 ERA and batting over 500. Has signed to pitch for Vandy. DNJ.com has full article in archives.

I think he would have been a 4 star caliber QB prospect if he had better size. Not that it really matters since he'll probably me making millions throwing the heat in a couple years.

What does this have to do with Vols Baseball? You don't have to kiss the ass of everyone that went to Smyrna.

Sonny Gray will be kicking the crap out of UT for 3 years.
Unless UT baseball get better fast, expect more of the same. Vandy has a great program now.

Gray was almost universally considered a first-day (the first six rounds) talent but sent an official request to MLB's scouting bureau prior to the draft and asked that he not be selected. He said it was his intention to honor the national letter-of-intent he signed last November with Vanderbilt.

It's about high school baseball, not Vol baseball, I suppose I was wrong there. I pitched there years ago and the fact that Gray lost his dad as a freshman and has done so well is the only reason I posted this. Besides, Vandy just had the # 1 draft pick with fellow Rutherford County pitcher David Price and Tennessee has struggled of late, can't say that I blame Gray for going to Vandy. Basically same scenario going on with our football team. Our program is struggling as is our recruiting. I will say in an interview the other day Gray did wish Wilks well at UT. Classy guy.

F'n awesome. I still have no idea what this has to do with Tennessee baseball.
Actually VKB, it would probably serve us both better if we just didn't read each others threads. As I have said previously, I don't buy into the tough talk on the board.

Done deal because as I have previously stated, I don't like to read about something that has nothing to do with Tennessee baseball yet you still felt the need to put it in the UT Baseball forum.
