You are still delusional. JG's attitude "improved" once he got his way. Before that... he sulked and had a bad attitude.JG and Wm have both already shown outstanding leadership so I fail to see how he would be able to come in and do better in that category. Or instill more confidence in teammates.
If the evidence of "leadership" is team play... there's no case to be made that either is a proven leader.
Yeah. I'm sure he can't throw screen passes and one read routes....I doubt that a guy that completed 51% in high school and a 1/1 td int ratio is going to be anywhere near as accurate or consistent as the more experienced qb that was 62% on the year and 65% vs SEC teams.
If he does all these things that have a 1% chance of happening then of course he should absolutely be in the mix.
Your hero worship is worth noting.... but the QB position at UT is FAR from settled. JG previously failed to put in the work to win the job though we'd both agree he had more raw talent. It is NOT evident that he was ever accepted as the team's leader. He has A LOT of ground to make up to earn universal respect on the team.
He has to learn a new system after he didn't learn the old one in almost two years beyond the basics. The new system will require MORE reads and better decisions... one of which is not to hold the ball until a sack bails you out.
He has the arm... but his heart and head are still very much in question. A new staff could decide very quickly to invest in the future rather than trying to "fix" someone with those problems.
