Showing respect for players

No. According to 5150, you cannot boo in the stadium. You can however boo at home and at halloween!

According to 5150, you can boo whenever and whereever you like. You can also choose to show a little class and control yourself. My point is simple.....................only a redneck hillbilly will boo there own players. This is the same type of person that goes to their sons/daughters little league games and makes an ass out of themselves. You know the kind, and if you don't know the kind you probably are the kind.

Little league and major (well, classified major) college football are completely different situations but thanks for trying.

It's an unfortunate time to be a Vol player. They will hear the boos and take it personally. They will all develop "Chips" on their shoulders too. The boos don't help the prospective recruits in the stands either, but what do you do about it? Nothing. No matter what the fans say, some of them were booing the players too. When Crompton threw that pic just before half I bet half of the fans booing were doing it towards his play.

Crompton is an easy target. He acts cocky at times and makes statements that get under our skin. My brother and I watched a DVD about him when he was in high school. He was cocky then too! Right now if any player deserves a boo it's him. But, I still refrain from doing so. Instead I just mumble under my breath. After all they came here to fight for our team. They don't get paid. Yeah, they hoped it would be a stepping stone to the NFL but they probably regret that now too.

This guy hit the nail on the head. Great post.

And you seem like one of the parents that doesn't won't to keep score so everyone is a winner. I wish I could live in your fantasy world where winning wasn't important.

They need to play with chips on their shoulders since whatever's happening right now isn't working.

Trust me......the same idiots booing in neyland are the same ones in the bleachers at the local t-ball game on tuesday night yelling at the 5 yr olds.

And when these "kids" go on to play pro balland make tons of money, someone gonna pat their hands and say don't pay attention to all the grownups booing? Please, people are people and react to what's thrown at them.. some go overboard, some don't.. These Tennessee players know how it is, they're on their way up and gotta take the good with the bad...
maybe the boos should have started a long time ago and our football program would be stronger and we'd be back on top.... something has to change...... maybe a boo or two would fire a team up, nothing like some fuel under someone to make them dance like a chicken...........

GO VOLS.......
GO BIG ORANGE .........

No, because the fans at college football games don't give a crap about t-ball.

I've never seen parents make a scene at T-ball and rarely in little league. Most of it is on the umps. Probably away from the field they go overboard. All that is exaggerated.

Fans of college football don't have kids that play T-ball?

Do you really think that a person doesn't know the difference between getting humiliated on national broadcast TV, and the local t-ball team getting beat 15-1 in front of 20 people.

The fact still remains that they don't care. They'll try to coach them up, but it's t-ball, and not FBS College football, which millions watch, compared to 20 people who don't wanna be there anyways.

First of all, who asked any of these fans to speak on the players behalf? They already said it didn't bother them when the fans boo. So why don't we mind our business? Is it because we like to hide behind a computer screen and insult people calling them redneck losers? Way to be in 3rd grade.

You must live in a very upscale community. Thousands of rednecks across TN live vicariously through their children on a nightly basis. They attend the local baseball game and scream at the ump......and when they aren't screaming at the ump they are yelling at 5 yr old Johnny on 1st base because he missed the ball.

As was pointed out earlier, what the heck did you expect PF to say? What is he going to do, call out the fan base after a loss to a rival? His response was textbook. Get a clue, man.
OK you hate booing and I am not fond of it BUT how as a collective fan base would you get the point across that HUGE changes should be made?

This post tells me you are either a gator or a bama troll. Hmmm which one?

Do you think PF doesn't know changes need to be made? He made a change, you do remember Randy don't you? Now how has that fan-induced change worked out for you?

With the state of this program, the vast majority of your posts are regarding booing fans. Who doesn’t have a clue, man?

Your post tells me you don't have kids and don't attend these games. It's not just TN, it's the society we live in. Everybody thinks they have all the answers and 99.9999999% don't have a clue about anything.
