im honestly starting to be too tired to debate all this. I do see this as a downhill trend i know and i wasnt saying it was an isolated incident (and actually this convo would come up anytime unless your team is having the same success USC has, and your odds aren't high on that...bout 1 in 119).
But by handling it the way everyone's handling it, it all just looks bad. We're more of a laughing stock inside and outside of the conference (especially media wise) because we all got up and left in the middle of a still winnable game. It just looks very bad and will keep hurting us long term b/c as far as the players can tell, this also means they're bad and that they've let you down, and the future recruits think it looks bad (i wouldnt play for fans doing that) and espn just laughs at it.
Which (and im not applying this to you) makes me wonder, are we in a position where we should as fans be demanding that college students perform well? I know we pay for the games, but we pay to go to a game for entertainment and relaxation...an escape, the money's not put in for a win.....
