Showing respect for players

These players are getting between $30k and $100k free education to come here and play football. The booing is mainly directed at the coaching and general dissatisfaction for this team. But it is also partly at this team because they came out and layed and egg. I'm in grad school, and if I fall below a B average, I'm kicked out of my program. I don't think booing for a crappy performance is that out of line.

If 110% for Crompton means not being able to read defenses most of the game, then obviously I could be wrong. :good!:

Have you ever read defenses? Have you ever competed at that level?

I would say you probably haven't. Therefore I would argue that it is entirely possible that he was giving 110 yet did not perform well.

Futhermore, I would bet that if fulmer had another QB on the bench that he thought would give him a better shot at winning, that person would have played

So, you're saying that Crompton sucks?

If you boo, at least you care. Those that sit there, smile, eat their Petros, and accept losing don't care.

How can you be supportive if there is nothing to be supportive about. What? We scored 6 points. Hey, we held Tebow to under 100 yards passing.

We show up to be supportive, but if there is nothing to be supportive about, then we have the option to boo.

You do have the option. Those 10 potential recruits at the game also have the option to not attend a university where the fanbase acts like a bunch of rednecks.

It would seem to me, as football is an emotional game for us fans, that we have the God-given right to boo, stomp our feet, cheer, sing praises, etc. Just as you have the right to come on this board and sing your displeasures toward those with whom you might disagree. Metaphorically, you are booing the booer's on this board, which in turn, makes you look a little hypocritical! Why not be a little more restrictive? Why not ask us to refrain from frowning, or shaking our heads in disgust? Why not ask us to sit on our hands so as to refrain from making a negative gesture! And why not consider the feelings of the opposing teams fans? Maybe some of them are offended when we cheer our team. So lets quit cheering to appease the offended! NOT!

Booing is a part of the game. Although the athletes are kids, they are also young adults!
And why argue about it anyway, since the booing didn't seem to bother Crompton! Remember, he's not playing for the fans anyway!

If I want to boo, then I'll boo!

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Sounds like what an abusive husband would say......

"I hit you because I love you".

Sorry, but that's plain ignorant.

No Defensive Coordinators are shaking in their boots about having to play against Crompton. That should be all the sign you need as to how Crompton has played thus far.

You realize Crompton was riding the pine just last year while Ainge had a broken hand and a bruised shoulder both on his throwing arm and was still markedly better than Crompton? These aren't my personal opinions... these are the pervailing opinions of professionals in the sport.

Also, a plethora of former QB/commentators have criticized Crompton's play on many occasions. But feel free to blatantly ignore that.

An abusive husband is always in the wrong. Booing is nothing more than a mass criticism, which is a basic part of life.

Go to ESPN. They've got a new article that addresses our fan base.

Come signing day we'll see if your logic is correct.

Here's what I don't get. There are a lot of talented players in the state of Tennessee, but you don't see a whole lot go to Tennessee. The only one I can really think of, in recent memory, is Dennis Rogan(Go FALCONS)
