Show your defense some love!

Call me crazy, but I think Cincy at this point is harder to defend than Florida.

They run a hurry up, spread offense which is hard for anyone to defend. Luckily, we answered the call in the second half due to some terrible play calling by the offensive coaching staff. I don't understand how you can put the QB in shotgun on 4th and short and then run the ball.

Florida is a straight forward, huddle up, prostyle offense which is much easier to prepare for. On the other hand, if it's executed correctly, a prostyle offense can dismantle an inexperienced defense (which is exactly what we are right now)...

I think Wilcox's exotic schemes are perfect to defend against a prostyle offense.

UF has used the spread, no huddle/hurry up and pro-style this season.

“We don't have a lot to go on because in both games they just overwhelmed their opponents and it's like watching a preseason game,’’ Dooley said. “I don't think they showed a lot. I know they are going to show a lot more against us. They are able to get two games under their belt and really not go into the deep end of their playbook.

“We are going to have to be prepared for a lot more than what we saw in the first two games.’’

They have really good coaching and they have playmakers. If they run spread, I'd be nervous. They run pro-style, I'm nervous. If they ran wishbone, I'd be really concerned. If they ran the wing-T, because we don't see that very often, I'd be nervous,’’ Dooley said. “I don't think there's a scheme out there where we say, `We're in great shape.' We look at their guys and their coaches and see they have good players and good coaching" CDD

I don't think that is crazy. Cincy's offense is really good. Montana's lines weren't bad either. We may have beat two lower tier teams but they were a decent and a good lower tier team.
