A good friend of mine when to the game on Sat. and was accosted by a UGA fan.

He was going up some stairs back to his seat when the drunken UGA fan blocked his way on purpose and starred him down.

He politely asked him to move. The UGA fan's response: "No, you go around me."

My friend then tried to go around him by pushing with his shoulder. He was met with a fist between the eyes. Both got throw out of the stadium.

Seriously people. Is this really necessary?

Georgia fans are some of the worst in the SEC. They're right up there with Kentucky basketball fans.

Sounds to me like your friend used the wrong method of getting around him. The dawg fan is the one who should have ended up with a fist between his eyes.

Every fan base has some bad fans like that including ours... All the UGA people I have met in the past couple of years are classy and good football fans. That sucks for your friend though.

Jawja fans are the worst...period. I've been to just about every stadium in the SEC and as beautiful as the UGA campus/stadium is...the fans are just pathetic. I've never had an issue at UF or Bama...well not at Tuscalosa, but I'll not go back to UGA. Heck I've even had to thump a few of Dawg fans at Neyland.

Yeah this year just say Roll Tide.

Generally I would agree with you 100%...but for me personally, I've never met a classy UGA fan.

No self respecting Vol fan should ever say those two words. Ever.
Well I've been a fan for 40+ years...and I can easily say that. I respect Bama, I don't respect UGA. I have family members that are as big a Bama fan as I am a Vol...Bama vs. UT is what the SEC is and always will be about. I miss the days that the conference revolved around us...heck, that's just the way it was meant to be...the classic good (UT) vs. evil (bama) it just ain't worked out that way.

I see that behavior from all team sports fans everywhere.
Even our fans.
No one seems to remember that this is simply a game.
And we should be able to talk to each other in respect.
But I guess it goes beyond sports to a heart problem.

Have you been to an Auburn game? The best fans in the SEC period. I was invited into a 300k RV to tailgate with folks I didn't even know. I was offered a beverage and something to eat nearly everywhere I went on campus...and not one person had anything smart to say, not one... Class!

While it happens everywhere, GA seems to have a higher percentage of a**holes than others.

Asking GA fan's to show class is like asking a hog not to root in the mud. Ga fans are near the top when it come to worst fans only UF and Bama are ahead of them.

i was at neyland last week for the game. many of you know at the end of the 3rd quarter football teams hold of 4 fingers to signify the 4th qt. this year niu holds up 5 fingers in memory of the 5 students killed in febs shooting. the 2 vol fans sitting in front of me go theres only four quarters, my gf and i go to niu and she said to them way to be disrespectful, the 5 fingers is for something else they go score board, i wanted to be the crap out of these two *** frat boys, but it wasn't worth getting kicked out of neyland my first time there. oh and saying scoreboard when your beating a MAC opponent by 4 pts you shouldn't say scoreboard bunch of dumb asses in front of me. that goes to show you there idiots in every fan base, some have more than others.

Every single team in college football is going to have his classless, arogant fans. I was at the UT-UGA game last year. A UGA fan in front of me for no reason got in a random UT fans face and let out the "whoot whoot" (obviously this is before we were kicking their @ss) and a brawl started to happen. Some people are just idiots...and yes I am talking about more than just sports..

it was great. everyone was nice to me. just wish the program wasn't on the downside. i want to comeback when i don't have a rooting interest in the two teams and have more time to see knoxville. i have a clinical for teaching friday nights so we left out early in the morning saturday and left at 3 am sunday to get back for the white sox playoff game against the rays that sunday evening. it was also my dads first time there he's from west tn, from a town called ridgely. about 100 miles north of memphis. my gf had her red niu shirt and everyone was giving her a little hard time and me and my dad had our vols shirts on and a niu hat everyone asked us what was up with that. had to explain to them my dad moved from west tn up to il and me and my gf go to niu.

I have. I went to give a little (10-12?) girl a high five after AU scored on a long play (We were getting our butts kicked), her dad advised her against it! My kid was with me but you better believe, when I stood up and whispered a few choice words in his ear on the way out, he didn't have anything else to say.

I agree. UF has been, by far, my worst experiences. Every time I've been to UGA it has been with dawg friends, so I guess I haven't been in a bad spot there...yet...:)
