The fans in Neyland did not give up! At least one Gator thinks it made a difference in the outcome of the game.

'Appleby told the media on Monday that he isn’t worried about his first road start at Florida. As a former starter at Purdue, he faced some tough environments in Big Ten play. He went so far as to say that, in the end, “All the stadiums are the same.”'

After the game, his opinion appears to have changed... (from Gainesville.com)

'“I think it had a lot to do with their crowd,” Appleby said. “Their offense started going, creating a tempo, they were fitting the run on early downs."'

I've been going for years and I can't remember the last time the crowd in Neyland made that much noise for that long. It was rowdy. That second half was a beautiful thing.

Once we scored to make it 21-10 in the third quarter Neyland became absolutely monstrous. The stadium played a huge role in the momentum shift. Best crowd I've ever been a part of

After Hurd had that wheel rout TD.. We didn't shut up until about 20 minutes after the game ended.

I've gone sporadically for 25 years....it was top 5 of games I've attended. I wasn't at the Oklahoma game last year so I can't compare.

It was nuts and certainly made an impact.

For a visiting qb making his first SEC start at Neyland in a game as big as UT-FL on a 11-game streak to literally (not under his breath) say Neyland is no diff than any other stadium is just as odd to me as a HC at Tenn to literally (not under his breath) say that a game as big as UT-FL on a 11-game streak is just the next game (no diff than any other game). Keep ON the GO VOLS !

I thought last year's game agaInst OU was louder, but the result was obviously different. The fans were still cheering/singing long after the game. It was awesome to witness the celebration.

If you read his lips after the 1st timeout he said "this place is loud"

Butch is spending the day writing 100,000 thank-you notes.

It blew my mind that so many people left at halftime. People like that don't deserve to get to witness one of the greatest comebacks in our history.

Watched Swamp Donkey doing his post game with media. You could hear the cheering and chanting still going on interrupting his answers. He even made reference to how good the crowd and noise were.

The OU game was definitely loud here and there, but I still don't think it compares to the energy and noise for the entire second half of the UF game. It was constant.
