Got a bad bracket because the refs screwed us in the SEC T so the lizards got a favorable bracket and cruised to the final 4 to face an auburn team that we handled and a houston team that beat us only because we came out flat after an emotional big win against the mild cats.

If we didn't get screwed by the refs in the SECT we would've won easily and had the 1 seed and that soft bracket. We wouldve had a better showing in the finals against Houston than we did in the elite 8 since we wouldn't have been drained from an emotional big win and came out sharp

We blew the lizards out by 20 points and were the better team

At best, Tennessee was a Final Four team. Would’ve taken our best effort to beat Houston. We got Tennessee’s worst effort instead.

But in reality, this was an Elite 8 team. Which is nothing to be ashamed of.

Very well said. The best 4 teams were in the final 4. We had a very good season. It does suck that we had one of those nightmare halves against Houston, but they were just a stronger team. Extremely proud of the way these guys battled all year.

Lol you are insane. They gave us a historic beatdown in Gainesville and beat us on a neutral floor. The refs did not screw us. Then Houston absolutely destroyed us. In no world “should” we have won it all. Both of those teams were just better than we are, as was Duke. And if we play Auburn 10 times, they probably win 6 or 7 of them. There’s no shame in being number 5.

Idk how some of you watch sports and come away with these takeaways. Has Tennessee ever legitimately lost a game in your eyes?

I don't know about all that, but I know we had a real shot to beat Houston. You just can't shoot that poorly early on and expect to win. If it was a normal day, and we didn't give them that big of a lead, down the stretch would have been a completely different ball game.

But it is what it is. C'est la vie!

Yeah. I thought Houston looked a step quicker and just emotionally in a better place. I was, however, impressed with their ability to smother us like they did. Florida, IMO, was very fortunate to shake Houston and win. Gators unquestionably are a deep and talented team for sure.
