The Great Pumpkin must GO!!!!!!!!
I dont' like this feeling at all. I almost feel bad about making fun of Bama when they were in the SEC basement. Move over Miss State and Vandy.

Sam, never feel bad about making fun of Alabama. Sympathize with their plight, but never feel bad.

It's okay buddy, we'll get through this. Eventually.

The fans are up in arms over the 'Hamilton Coverup' - (rewarding a coach that has lost 62% of his games since '01 to Bama, LSU, Auburn, Ga, Fla, the SECCG and bowl games). If Auburn wins handily I see an outright fan revolt. Thoughts?

Teams like Vandy embrace the darkness! We need to embrace the fact that we have a bad coach, a bad QB, a fanbase that is getting angrier by the minute. We will lose many recruits to this debacle, guaranteed. We should not suck. Our talent level is on par with any program in the country. Change has to be made, and as I always say, a fish stinks from the head.

um Vandy is undefeated.

Although their schedule has been kinda weak. They beat SC but SC looks terrible. Who am i kidding....lol

I heard a caller on a local radio show today mention that UF fans didn't put up with 8-3 mediocrity of a Zook Florida record. They demanded better and got a NC and 4 winning years. I think we should do the same. Especially since MH said 8-4 is ok.

That made me laugh.

It is not every day that a thread title brings a Simon and Garfunkel tune to mind.

Hello darkness, my old friend...

and the people prayed
to the neon god they made
and the sign flashed out it's warning
in the words it was forming
and the sign said;
the words of the prophets
are written on the subway walls
and tenement halls
and whispered in the sounds of silence.

which brings to my mind others;

first;

I am just a poor boy
and my story's seldom told
Ive squandered my resistance
for a pocketful of mumbles,
such are promises
All lies and jest,
still the man hears what he wants to hear
And disregards the rest, hmmmm

then;

When you're weary, feeling small
When tears are in your eyes,
I will dry them all
I'm on your side
When times get rough
And friends just can't be found

Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

A comparison of the 2007 seasons;

Tennessee 10-4
Florida 9-4

Who is your source on the MH quote????????

I totally agree. Don't get me wrong, I have loved having CPF as our coach, BUT something has got to give. The fanbase is diminishing and that's just not right for Big Orange Football. I can't say anything about the stadium clearing out by halftime, I turned the game off myself. I have eaten, breathed and slep UT ever since I can even remember. I love the Vols and football is my FAVORITE sport. SOmething MUST be done. Either CPF changes or we will find someone who will!!!

Yes, but Florida won the national championship in 2006. Also, I bet they won't lose four games this year.

Thanks for the lyrics. Do you have the guitar tabs?

Actions speak louder than words. When you give someone a raise and a contract extension based on that performance, then I would say that's prima facie evidence that 8-4 is acceptable.

Hamilton Coverup? That has to be the most tortured stat I've seen yet. Wanna throw Cal and Miami in there to pull the percentage down a little more? :birgits_giggle:

Seriously, we can all see the scoreboard. You don't have to play with statistics right now to alert everybody that there is an issue.

This is Hamilton's fault. The idiot keeps giving the Fulminator extensions when it is OBVIOUS that the big man is a spent force. Fulmer was never very articulate or inspirational--I have been around him a little--and he's been in la-la land in recent years, sort of believing that his teams are good and playing well when it's obvious that they are CRAP. This is the SEC, baby, not an experimental movie.

Hello darkness, my old friend...
Love the song but Sounds Of Silence wasn't exactly the thought of the day last Saturday.

Obviously you are the only UT fan who hasn't heard. MH gave Fulmer a new contract. Any 8 win season gives Phil an automatic extension.

Mediocrity pays!
