Should we go after Muschamp for DC

This is idiotic. Say you do hire Muschamp and he wants to bring in his own staff. You let Martinez, Thigpen, and Stripling go. What about all the players that have committed to those coaches? People talking about UF recruits should actually follow recruiting UF doesn't have any great recruits that would come to UT regardless of who is coaching here.

He would not come to U.T. He turned us down when we hired Dooley. Also, he made the statement this year that Florida was a better place to work than U.T. Of course, that was immediately after they beat us at home by 1 point.

He turned us down for a HC position when he was a hot commodity and it would have been a hire for an AD that was about to be canned anyways. Situation is completely different. Doesn't matter though.

Won't happen. shouldn't happen. don't want it to happen. but would definitely be an upgrade. great defensive mind

:hi:Back when UT was considering Muschamp for the head coach position and he was DC at Texas, I checked with a friend of mine in Alabama that knew him at Auburn. The friend replied that Tennessee did not need him as he was a "loud mouth redneck idiot
" while at Auburn.

SIAP, haven't been on in a day or so. But should we target CWM for DC? Or even just for the defensive staff in general? I don't particularly like him but you cannot deny his defensive coaching ability. Plus, we might snag a few FL recruits who committed to him... Thoughts?

Seriously? After the UT game he was interviewed and said look up into the stands at all those UT fans sad and upset, I like that! Not word for word but close.

Muschamp is the guy who enjoys our disappointment. He can draw unemployment and get on Obamacare for the rest of his life for all I care!

Word on the streets and msg boards is that Spurrier will hire him and he's going to be Asst HC/ Co DC

The only thing I don't like about him is I see him trying to intimidate the players with his sneers, snarling, and wolf's teeth. I don't like his style. He 's probably a good coach but I bet the players resent him acting like a bully.

muschamp's hated in texas a&m and knoxville--he'll end up at south carolina for 1.5 million / year.

I don't like the guy but if he could make our Defense better and help win a title then if be all for it. I care about winning. Our DC has done a good job but Muschamp is great...as a DC. I know we won't hire him just saying.

If we were in the market for a DC and he wasn't such an ass, given how good a DC he is, I'd be all for it. I think Jancek is doing a good job and will only do better as he has more talent to work with

No way we could make that change but its a double pain for UT
Fl will get a real coach and he will land at a rival to be a thorn for years to come.
