I don’t think you can judge Hoke on a couple of games. Any coach will need a year to start changing the program to his program. Of course, he had a little problem at Michigan.

Probably better than you can by fumbling multiple attempts to hire a coach ... any coach, and wind up looking stupid, completely incompetent, and desperate in the process.

Not just no but F no. This is not Hokes dream job and he will not be swimming in talented in-state recruits. Plus Orgeron was not the interim for a whole year. He was given interim after a few games and made permanent coach after the season was over. So pretty bad comparison overall.

Most coaches now are just hired guns. The days of a Fulmer-esque coach who has a real personal, emotional connection to the school are just about over.

Orgeron went on a winning streak and showed some mojo just as he did at Southern Cal following the kid who got fired on the runway. Matt Luke showed some life at Ole Miss. Hoke basically did not show much but he played one game in a hurricane and a second the team rolled over. That was not a fair test period for Brady Hoke but there was nothing much to inspire confidence for the HC job. I think Hoke actually is a good coach - wrong place - wrong time as he was in Oregon.
