Should we do a tribute to Spurrier somehow? (Vs. USCe Nov. 7)

Should we have a tribute to Spurrier for USCe game?

He'll be missed in college football. I was amused with his one liners. And he's a legend, but TN (we) should not do a tribute to him.

I can't think of anything yesterday that made me happier.
I wanted Tennessee to deliver the worst a$$ kicking to that jerk in the history of his career. I will settle for him to ride off into the sunset as a loser and a quitter !!!!!!!!

No. I have begun to like him more in his old age. Speaks the truth most of the time which I like. But no, no tribute. I mean, he coached the Gators for gods sake!

I don't believe he has EVER had a losing season at any school where he coached. This looks like it would have been his first one.

On another note, USCe has a couple of recruits we might want to take a look at...

Finally, Spurrier to the other USC! :)

I respect him individually but I'm not so sure we as a program should put together any sort of tribute. He HATES us and has talked so much s**t about our program. I'll personally miss his personality, and he was a legendary coach, but I wouldn't say we need to give him a tribute.

From what I've read & heard he'd have crawled to Knoxville to coach at UT after the NFL debacle. :ermm:

What the hell is wrong with you people? A tribute to Spurrier? Yeah, maybe we can take some time out to honor Linda Bensel-Meyers while we're at it.

Well, maybe during the South Carolina game, we could put this on the jumbotron:

Can't spell "over the hill has been" without "S-T-E-V-E"

No but we can all pitch in and get him some golf lessons for Christmas:

Only if I get to play Augusta National with him.

Honestly, I know many at UT are not fond of him, but the man dedicated his life to the SEC. He's undeniably a great coach and an icon of this game and conference. Yes we should honor him. It's the sportsmanlike thing to do.

His first season at Duke and this year at S.Carolina are only 2 losing seasons. Bookends. Everything inbetween was .500 or better. He never went unbeaten though!

If he's at the game, I don't have a problem with a "Good Luck Steve" on the jumbotron but nothing more..
