I actually found this link on EDSBS. It seems that discontented ARKY fans are ponying up for airplanes to carry banners calling for Nutt's head to fly over some or all of their remaining home games. If anyone wants to get organize a similar project with regard to the Vols' coach I am ready, willing and able to contribute. :salute:

Phil Fulmer is a UT alumn and won a national championship for us. I'm ready to see him go, but I don't see any need to humiliate him.

While Nutt needs to be fired, that is some of the least classy stuff I have ever heard of happening over there in Fayetteville.

This is just Arkansas being Arkansas. I want Fulmer gone, but we need to do it with dignity. I don't want Fulmer humiliated, he has given the university a lot to be proud of. Someday 10-20 years down the road, I would like to look back at Fulmer's career with a sense of pride not embarrassment. This is nothing but embarrassing for the Arkansas program. I sure wouldn't want any recruits visiting those games.

I agree that this would not be a classy move by our fans but if Fulmer doesn't step down after the season or if Hamilton doesn't fire him, I would be prepared to do something like this if it means saving our program. We have to realize that a change has to happen and happen this year. If Hamilton doesn't have the balls to strive for a successful team, we may have to resort to actions like this and force him to react.

I hold no respect for anyone that considers this garbage a good idea. It is utterly classless, and I'd be ashamed to be thrown in with people that would do it. Things like this give entire fanbases a bad name. Fulmer, regardless of his current performance, has put his ENTIRE adult life into this University, and I think he deserves respect and admiration, not this.

I agree. I really think alot of Coach Fulmer. I thought it was time for Majors to go, but wasnt pleased with how that went down, and I wouldnt want to see Coach Fulmer humiliated either. I would love to see him remain a part of the University, as I would have Coach Majors, but Fulmer will be offered other coaching opportunities, and I think he is not ready to stop coaching, so he probably wouldnt stay at UT in another role. Besides, we are 2-2 with alot of football left to play, this all may be a mute point.

CPF should be allowed to retire with his dignity intact- I am grateful for his years of service, but he needs to step down at the end of this season.

While you're at it, why don't you organize a protest march in front of the team during the Vol Walk? The man deserves better from the Vol faithful. Let him go out with some dignity.

If that ever happened, I would cease being a Tennessee fan because I would not want to be associated with people who would do that.

It's not classy. Fulmer deserves to be treated better. He is a UTK alum and has brought home a national championship.

That being said, it's time for a change. But let the man have his dignity.

They flew banners over the Orange Bowl calling for Larry Coker's firing multiple times last year.
