I just explained because it balances out the power in the divisions.

Nobody cares about Vanderbilt:)

They are completely irrelevant in SEC football other than a yearly upset over an actual SEC team.

That wouldn't work because Georgia Tech and Georgia are in the same state........

Tech would have to go to the west.............

If any SEC team goes undefeated they'll be in the Championship Game.

But because the quality of teams in the SEC is so good that a 1 or 2 loss team can get into the National Championship if they're in the Top 8 at least and win the SEC Championship

Why would West Virginia and Louisville leave the Big East?

They have an easier path to the National Championship.

Why don't we just merge w/ the ACC...split up into 4 divisions...have a 4-team playoff at the end of the season...called the winner OUR national champion...and tell the rest of the country what they can do w/ themselves.

That way a team from the Old South wins it every year.

They could then get Vince McMahon to be the head of this new league and call it the Xtreme South Conference. :thumbsup:

Theres more money and exposure being apart of the SEC.

Most Big East games are on Thursday nights or at 12:00 on ESPN2.

SEC games are primetime games on ESPN or CBS

Hmm... Well, based on the rest of the logic in this thread, why not? Charlie Weis would have his team in the NC "hunt" every year.

And while we're at it, let's automatically make their top player one of the Heisman finalists.
