LG. If you are keeping count at home, and I know you are, this is now 2 lawyers from the state of Florida that our incredibly talented and highly respected President has nominated for AG. Meaning this is twice you’ve been passed over for the position.

You mad bro?

And a follow up. Do you think @McDads continual attempts to have you disbarred is hurting your chances?
So you think LG would have taken the bribe to ignore Trump U?

I’m honestly not sure. Mainly because that was Pre-TDS LG. Given his current condition, he’s more unpredictable. TDS is real and I hope he gets the help he needs.

Regarding the bribe: I see her political committee received a 25k donation from Trumps foundation. Was that a bribe for the Trump U case? I’m not sure. Seems like it should be a higher amount. BUT to be fair, if the Clinton foundation had cut her a check in a similar circumstance, I would be highly suspicious that it was a bribe. So I’m willing to admit I’ve got some bias here.

Seems really weird how the DOJ was in the bag against Donny and yet declined to drag Gaetz through the mud.

I'm leaning towards could have charged him, but he was connected enough to get a pass. But what do I know?

Does this mean he's back on the menu for the next Congress? And if so, does that mean he's back on the menu for the release of the report?

No. Gaetz is out IMO. From what I am hearing, the significant issues are that the sex with a 17 year old is what the DOJ investigated and it is indeed completely bogus. The congressional investigation, unquestionably stirred up because Gaetz took down Kevin McCarthy, has other things in it that are not so easy to dismiss. From the WSJ:

The biggest was obviously the recently concluded House Ethics Committee investigation into a long list of allegations against Mr. Gaetz, including (from a June committee statement) “sexual misconduct and/or illicit drug use, shared inappropriate images or videos on the House floor, misused state identification records, converted campaign funds to personal use, and/or accepted a bribe, improper gratuity, or impermissible gift.” The claims weren’t limited to the allegations of sexual trafficking previously investigated by the Justice Department.

I am guessing Trump was told about the sex stuff and saw it as a hit job, the other material though is more concerning. If they release the report, there would normally be pressure on the DOJ to investigate and potentially bring charges if warranted. Trump did not like it when he found out about the other stuff and quickly dropped Gaetz.

Normally, even though Gaetz has resigned his seat from 118th Congress, he could take up his seat again in the 119th, since he was re-elected. If he does, the Ethics committee is likely to release the report and then he has a DOJ problem. No release, no DOJ. Thats why, what I am hearing is that Gaetz is out and he will pick up something else in Trump orbit but not so glamorous and spend more time with his hot and very rich wife.

I have no idea what you're talking about so I can't say other than $25k would be an incredibly small number to risk a career or even prison for.
Maybe for you, deep pockets!!!

Nah. I tend to agree. 25k went further 10 years ago, but even back then, that’s not a lot of money.

Glad he dropped out but the DOJ did investigate. A Congressional ethics investigation isn't a criminal investigation.
Yeah, and that just seems like targeting. If the criminal investigation cleared him, why the ethics investigation? I don't get that. But, agreed. If it's a distraction, best bail out. Behind the scenes don't know how the decision was made, but publically, he was very grown up about it.

Yes, seriously.

Do you believe that only Dems were pals with Jeffrey?

There are no dems and reps... there are only evil people. They should all burn.

And the murderers should be indicted as well, no?

The criminal investigation didn't "clear him", Garland and the DOJ elected not to bring charges. A weird thing to do for a department that was "targeting" him.

Nope. But, I also believe that list will bring down half of Washington, and Hollywood.

If child endangerment was a part of either espcapade, and most sane people prob do bilieve and know it was, then IDGAF what the political affiliation is.

We all saw the befores and afters of The Biebs after a weekend of Ball Park Franks. Them eyes went dark and hollow.

Clinton, either one, will never go down like that. The laws that don't apply to Tier One occupants is a world wide issue. Not just America.

If the intent was to prolong an investigation to become a smear job it would still be a target. Same thing they did with Russia Gate, no?

A portion of Russia Gate was third parties were manufacturing lies, instead of the FBI/DOJ vetting it out and criminally prosecuting the claims they knew were false. They used the false information as a weapon i.e. illegal wiretaps, warrants, etc. Than they would leak certain things to the media and not only manufactured their own false information, they tried to cover it i.e. additional crimes.

When you don't put things into context, you become an ******* to the forum.

True. I don't know if he was guilty or not. But, it was all going his way.

Thing is, just like these stupid school teachers, no one ever learns. You're a public figure. Do you not know everything you do is locked away in someone's vault, and it will come back around when it is needed. Women, drugs, underage victims, whatever. I realize we do have some very intelligent people we elected to Washington. Aside from his alleged mis-gvings, Gaetz is highly regarded as a capable and intelligent lawyer. Why put all that future on the line? And for what? Maybe that common sense and propensity to try and be a person God wants, is what disqualifies me from being useful in DC.

YOu say you don't know if he is guilty of something (?) Yet, your whole post is taken from the stand point he is guilty and he has something to hide (and you believe he should hide).

Or maybe a better way to put it, he doesn't act like he did anything wrong because maybe he didn't do something wrong.

This is the kind of stuff people are starting to reject.

P.S. if the story I linked is somewhat true, the public might never get the whole story i.e. classified and this might explain the retractions you are getting at some msm i.e. legal notices.
