I just don't see it. They cannot and will not stop our rushing attack, and our DL will get pressure on every snap.

A great Sun Belt team is still a Sun Belt team.

Appy State will surely hang around..........after the game to attend all the great parties celebrating their destruction. Better than going back to Boone 😀

They're starting a whole new group of WR's and they're at a huge disadvantage on the line. Tennessee will be just fine, that win vs Michigan 9 years ago might just be the worst thing to happen to college football because every year some crack pot puts out an article not to overlook the hippies from appy state.

They will hang for the first series or two, then we will ease on the gas pedal...

At the end of the day, if the Vols can't beat Appalachian State, what will happen?

Ruling on the Field: Should Tennessee Worry if Appalachian State Hangs Around? - Vol Sports Radio

I agree with Barrett on this. Appy State does not have our talent but they are a veteran squad that's well coached. Even though I expect us to win big I won't be shocked if they can keep it within a few scores.

So if the game is closer than expected, just back away from the ledge. We will be fine.

We too are a veteran squad that's well coached.....with lots more talent and depth. Not worried. We can name the score in this game if Butch lets the boys do it.

Lots of people said the same thing about Bowling Green.

They can't hold up to the barrage our defense is going to bring, or the pounding by the OL. Easy victory.

They may hang around for the first half.

They are a very well coached team so it would not surprise me if this happens. I will be concerned if we can't pull away in the second half a little perhaps.

From what little I've heard about this team, they like to run the ball and limit their opponents' time of possession. If this is true and they have a few sustained drives, don't be surprised if it's a closer, lower scoring game than expected. I still don't really see a scenario where UT loses.

Hang around? Anything more than a quarter is unacceptable. In their last 2 recruiting classes they have signed 46 kids and I believe a total of 6 of them were 3* guys. Everyone else was 2*. Tennessee is supposed to destroy a squad like Appy St. Get it done.

UT should go up by 35 and then clear the benches. Don't show anything else about our offense and don't risk injuring anyone that we're going to need in Atlanta.
