The woo will have staying power because it works with the song. The 3rd down for what thing is pop culture. It will be dead in a couple of years, and I'll betcha that in 5 years nobody can tell you where it came from.
Your opinion!! Most SEC schools think the same as you just because your stadiums are so much bigger. Lane was built then expanded for noise. If you have been to a hugh game there..like you say...you wouldn't of even made this ridiculous statement. I have been to well over 30 games in Lane and a few times I couldn't even hear the person beside me it was so loud. There have been interviews with opposing players that clearly stated, I could here anything it was so loud. That wasn't even the games that was recorded by richter scale.
Jon, Iam4utalways would like you to pick him up one of those while you're there.
And I just decided this morning. In honor of this thread, I'm jumping my wife after we win the Battle at Bristol. Just doing my part.
Go Vols!
I now live in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley just north of Blacksburg. I'm SURROUNDED by both "Hokies" & "Fauxkies"...and nobody can state that Beamer didn't run a nice little program for a bunch of years...with some brief National Relevance during the Vick years. And I was at that 2010 Peach Bowl, which little did we know that Kiffin already had one foot out the door...and Tennessee was beat.
But...Here sshifflett...let me help you out...
"Rocky Top...you'll ALWAYS be...
Home Sweet Home to meeeeeeeeee...
Good Ol' Rocky Top (SILENT FOR A BEAT!)
Rocky Top TENNESSEE...Rocky Top Tennessee...
THIS ^^^ will be played after EVERY score, turnover and GREAT PLAY...
You can feel free to learn it NOW...or have it down by heart before the end of the 2nd Quarter...
Just DON'T "WOO"!!!
*unless you are Sandra Shifflett...instead of Steve...

I realize this is a Tennessee Vol Forum...but seriously dude! Lane stadium is one of the loudest, toughest places to play..with a mere 66,000 capacity. So what if you think the entrance is stupid, most college football fans, including opponents love the atmosphere. It is one of the best entrances in all of football. Have a little respect for the game and opponent.
Hahaha...I know that song well, Play guitar with a little country music myself! At the BoB there will be everything ..... Metallica, Rocky Top, Keys jiggling on 3rd downs, Hokie Pokie, and what ever else you guys usually do in home games. This game will be a flippin spectacle regardless of the outcome. Hell, when yall score, I will probably be so drunk that I will sing with ya! And at the end of the night, even if we get that "L" like you and 90% of Vol Nation expect...Im sure that when I log back on to this wonderful site there will be a many of you that will be glad the game is over... admitting that yall were wrong and VT showed up and put up a fight!
Woooooooooo!!!!!!!:good!:
Key Play
In the early to mid-1980s, probably 1984, Hokie football fans began removing keys from their pockets and shaking them at the beginning of a third-down offensive play, indicating a key play. The tradition did not originate at Virginia Tech but has become a significant tradition at football games.
Had a conversation with some VT fans about both schools bringing their traditions to the Battle at Bristol.
Everyone knows that VT comes out to Enter Sandman, and their fans go crazy for it, and jump up and down.
If they do it at Bristol, should Tennessee jump too?
