I know from a very good source that was on the 98 team that the o-line did most of the checkin before the snap in 98 and that Tee did not have much of a football mind so no that is a very good thing that he is not our QB coach. He didnt make it in the NFL because he wasnt there mentally and didnt have a consistent long range arm.

How exactly would he have lined up stud quarterbacks?

this is Tee's first year coaching in college. I think he needs expereince before jumping into something at UT.

There's a reason Tee didn't make it in the NFL. Same reason Heath Shular didn't, lots of talent but unable to read the defense. See Vince Young...

while I like Tee and wish him well, I have to agree with LWS. He'll have the opportunity to prove himself and move up in coaching. Tee's still a young guy

If your opinion is

1) Reaves is not doing a good job
2) Tee Matrin would do a good job

on what do you base that?

Tee is putting in the work here in Albuquerque. He is very well respected and just needs to get some college coaching experience. He has been running QB camps for years and knows what he is doing. New Mexico is up and coming and a lot depends on the QB play this year. Tee will move up in the coaching ranks very quickly. He does talk with Kiffin on occasion. It wouldn't surprise me to see him back in orange one day.

I think Kiffin did the right thing by washing his hands clean of everyone that was attached to Fulmer(as far as coaches). Martin needs to work his way up through the ranks. He shouldn't just be handed a job here just because he went to school here. I might could see it if he wanted to take a lesser position, but don't hand the qbs over to him his first year.
