This wont be popular with yall but I think its time for him to hang it up. Nothing left to prove.

Good reasons to quit now:

Health
Family
Super Bowl Ring
Legend status
Nationwide
Papa Johns
Buick
and endless coaching job offers.

He watched Favre mishandle his legacy. Peyton is smarter than that.

Favre "mishandled his legacy" by starting to hint at retirement shortly after his SB win, and making it an offseason drama every year up until he retired...then unretired...took a crap on his Packers legacy...spared with the Jets....retired...came out of "retirement" and had a great season with the Packers bitter division rivals the Vikings (more crapping on his Packers legacy)...retired...let Vikings beg him out of "retirement" right after training camp, then put the Dairy Queen swirl crap on his legacy with that mailed in final season. That's the training tape on how to tarnish your legacy (but still go to the HOF). I'm not worried about Peyton reaching that level.

A friend w/ ties to Peyton's Indy QB coach (save the comments, just passing along the info) says Peyton is considering retirement & buying partial ownership in the Titans. Coach feels like this is where he is leaning.

I personally hope he comes back to have his farewell season much like Jeter did this year. Let the fans & NFL pay their respects. He's earned that IMO.

if you voted "yes", it should list out your name and address... haha

Or, put your name in the NegaVol thread

I'm more concerned about the recent decline in quality of the Papa Murphy's commercials :p.

Concentate on football Peyton, you have earned the right to retire (or not) on your own terms.

Sure, Super Bowl 2013 and a couple games away from the Super Bowl this year...you guys are right he's just no good. Let him get his health back this off season and he has a few more years in him.

@VicLombardi: Kubiak on Manning: “We talked a couple of days ago and last night … I wanna be the best support system I can be for Peyton"

@FootballTimeMag: Good read –––> RT @fbgchase: Peyton Manning was much more of a downfield passer in 2014 than you might think: Guest Post: Marginal YAC, 2014 in Review

"Here are the 2014 Marginal Air Yards (mAir) and Marginal YAC (mYAC) for quarterbacks with at least 100 pass attempts. The 2014 leader in Marginal Air Yards is…Peyton Manning? Yes, the noodle-armed, duck-throwing, over-the-hill Peyton Manning averaged 4.54 Air Yards per pass Attempt; given that the average passer on this list averaged 3.70 Air Yards per pass Attempt, this means Manning averaged 0.84 Air Yards per Attempt over average. Over the course of his 597 attempts, this means Manning gets credited with 500 marginal Air Yards, the most of any quarterback in the NFL."

I didn't want to start a thread asking about a rumor as terrible as the one I've heard. But does anyone have any light or recollection about a possible affair between Peyton and Indy meteorologist angela buchman? Also I've heard that Peyton and his wife have an "open" relationship. Would destroy me if true.

Ahem! .... back Peyton and football now ....

@Jeff_Legwold: Been around both for some time...Manning would want to play for Kubiak ...Manning's return based primarily on health, ability to compete.

I voted No but for just one year. He was bad hurt at the end of the year. I'd like to see him finish on a high note.

I think Peyton will come back for a final season, and the league will grease the skids to ensure he has
a successful season. O/U on # of holding calls in 2015 - +/- 1

The Broncos are on the schedule again, and I would love to see one more matchup with Brady.
The game is in Denver.

he's done....he can do one more or so... but he done guys. not much reason for carrying things to far, as it'll only be bad for the legacy. While I hope for one more good one.... 'tis gone.
