Yeah ok. I bet you would have loved to experience a season that consisted of mostly walk on players.

The Schiano bashing has about run its course. He could have been a very solid coach for Tennessee if allowed the chance. Compare his resume to the previous 4 Vol coaches (even Phil at the time he was hired) and Greg Schiano comes out way ahead.

Without delving into the obvious allegations again, let's just stay with experience. He may have HC experience, but it's pretty mediocre HC experience. 3 of the 4 HC currently in the CFP never had HC experience before taking over their programs. HC experience is overrated, unless you are hiring a legitimate top flight coach.

I have to research Tucker a bit before I go all in on the man but I trust Phil. He knows how important this hire is.

If GS was hired, he would have had to explain himself to recruits and parents about the Sandusky scandal at PSU regardless of him knowing or not knowing about it. Recruiting would have been an uphill battle from the beginning.
