probably due to state of the PAC10 compared to that of the SEC. he was at the time more familiar with the west coast, its recruits, and the PAC 10 programs/offenses/etc. then he was suddenly thrust into the heart of the SEC (toughest conference, period) at a traditional powerhouse with the likes of Meyer, Saban, Miles, and Spurrier.

i understand why they would say he seemingly wouldve initially have fit better with Washington.

he's ours now though :good!:

Dude must have needed to pound out a column quick. He just took the top rumors of the offseason and said they should have happened. No research required and he knew it would get fans of these schools in a tizzy. A dumbass says what?

This statement proves this guy like a lot of the others doesn't know what he's talking about.

Kiffin's bizarre 20-game tenure as Raiders' head coach did not prepare him for running an SEC program, and his prior stint as a USC assistant didn't exactly teach him to survive in the dog-eat-dog world of SEC recruiting.

I believe Kiffin has proven in a big way, he can recruit in the SEC. Top 10 ranking, Bryce Brown anyone?
